I wish I'd gotten a SS Stormtrooper to go with Darth Vader since all I have to display him with right now is Jedi Luke.  :(
FYI, I picked up a Sideshow Storm Trooper from White Wizard Toys for less than $60 with free shipping.

Looks like the Watchmen ratios are:

20:96 THE COMEDIAN
20:96 RORSCHACH
16:96 OZYMANDIAS
15:96 DOCTOR MANHATTAN
12:96 NITE OWL II
12:96 SILK SPECRE II
01:96 Suited DOCTOR MANHATTAN (CHASE)

Still no word if there are special 3-packs for the USA or what...

Very strange to me that Ozy is more common than Nite Owl. ..

Saw on ebay today that the Watchmen Kubricks are out.  Individual blind-box figures.  I'll be interested to see how BBTS goes about fulfilling their orders for the 3-packs...
I was wondering about that myself.  Might they possibly release both blind-boxed and 3 packed releases of the same figures (minus chases)?  Has there been any precedent for this with Kubricks?

I wish I had never heard of the damn things.  Get away before it is too late.

Kubricks / Re: Your Favorite Kub?

My favorite Star Wars Kubbie would probably have to be Bespin Luke (I wish I had that Degobah version :( ).  Though I love mini Vader and 3PO, too.

But favorite Kubbie period?
Chest Burster Chase from Alien Series 1
This :D Probably followed by my Batman Begins Scarecrow.  If the damn Ghostbusters would ever come out, this list would change, though.

I'm glad I'm not a completist, because if I was, a wave like this would make me seriously question what I was doing :)

I`m thinking the build a parts will be totally random, with some parts harder to get than
others. I think we`ll be doing some trading to get our sets complete.
That would suck hard, but would fit in well with Medicom's strategy of sucking my bank account dryer than it already is.  If so, I will probably forget the BAFs and just target getting the figures that I want.  The Superhero Squad/Galactic Heroes Jabba could look worse, right? :(

LOL   I thought Kubs were unbreakable ;D
Y'know, Kubricks have been amongst the most brittle figures that I've ever collected.  Arms and legs break off when these things fall 6 inches.  Maybe they are being sarcastic with their tag line.

Oh surely one of you would like to buy the minty 400% Vader I have lying around the house.
I actually have been tempted by that Vader on more than one occasion  :D

Must. . .exercise. . .restraint. . .

Oh.  I hadn't heard of that, honestly.  I get my taxes done by H&R Block, and they never even brought it up  ???

So you accurately pay federal taxes on all the stuff you sell on Ebay, right?  Just want to make sure.   ;)
Fortunately, the federal government still hasn't forced many online retailers to pay sales tax (this seems only to apply to state laws regarding in-state sales, as far as I have seen).  If this changes (as I have read it might), and applies to eBay, then that might be one more reason not to sell on eBay at all.  I already spend upwards of 20% of a final selling price with all the eBay fees.  Throw another 9-10% on top of that, and I don't see much reason to sell there.

Yeah, my issue with the AT-ST is that you shouldn't be able to see the Kubrick driver inside very well (unless there is a little step for him to poke out of the top).  In that sense, it is nice to have a Kubrick-scaled vehicle, but I would prefer something where you can show off the figures.  I would prefer a mini-Landspeeder from ANH, or one of the creatures that Evenflow describes over something where you can't see the figure.

the reason and only reason sellers charge for examply 30.00 for shipping out a Kub is to save money on Ebay fees. It also looks appealing when you see it priced lower than any other one.
Due to the point in the second sentence, I disagree with your argument in the first sentence ;)

Yeah, eBay/Paypal fees are killer, but they won't be $30-40 for a $120 item.  The main reason I think foreign sellers in particular do this, is to deceive buyers such as yourself who don't notice the crazy expensive shipping.  I actually don't like the idea of filing a complaint to get the money back.  Though you can take issue with what the seller is doing, I say report the guy if you don't agree.  If you notice the price and bid, then you should feel responsible for paying what you agree to, IMO.  If you actually don't notice the crazy "shipping" cost before bidding, but do notice before paying, then I would contact the seller first.  If he was willing to let you out of paying, I would let it go, if not, then and only then would I justify filing a dispute.  Just my perspective, though.

Personally, I try to charge about $2 extra in my "shipping" costs on items I sell on eBay just to cover a part of my fees.  As eBay keeps raising fees, I understand the need to pass the buck to the customer (why do we have sales tax, after all?).  But extreme price gouging on shipping is pretty despicable, IMO.  Apart from deceiving customers, eBay does deserve something for the service it provides, and until a real competitor shows up, if you don't like the fees, then I say, don't list auctions.  EBay sucks, but sellers shouldn't screw them over just because eBay screws sellers over.

Good lord, I can't believe a year has passed since then!  An entire year with no updates.  Is this typical for Kubricks?  I hope they didn't run into a licensing snag or something  :(

I think you'll find it was June!!!
Well, I see that you posted a "where are the Ghostbusters" post in June, but does that really count as an update?  ;D

I don't remember seeing anything on Kubrick Nation, though I can't access that site from this computer to double check.  Where is this update you speak of, if you don't mind my asking?
