Oh yeah... the first dozen or so I did were pretty bad compared to what I'm putting out now.  I'm almost tempted to take them out of the gallery.   ;)

What's really cool, though, is how prominent my art is when you do Google image searches.  On the obscure characters... Maj. Derlin, ICMG (Willrow Hood), Tsavong Lah, Thall Joben... my stuff is sometimes the first image.  What's amazing is that my Vader unmasked drawing is the #3 return when you search for "Vader."  It makes me feel famous.   ;D  I like to think that there might be someone somewhere using my art as a reference for their own.

Yeah, Gerald Home seems like a really nice guy.  He sent me a long complimentary E-mail after reading the write-up of the con on my site on Wednesday.  I'm going to post it next week.   ;D

Great artwork Bill.   8)

So what the plan for the next one?

The next one is Oola... a character I've been waiting to draw since I started this thing.  The pencils are about 1/3 done.  Hopefully I'll get the chance to work on it in the next week.

I don't remember a photo of anyone in a fedora.  Maybe Todd forgot to send that one to me.

This week's http://CreatureCantina.com update features the tale of how one of my drawings ended up with a real live Star Wars actor!  I'm so proud...

Here's the art:

Man... a little harsh there, don't you think?  Cancel the show??

I thought the CBG thing was hilarious.  I mean, they did choose their biggest venue possible to reveal it.  And it was like... "How are they going to weasel out of giving his name this time... ACK!!!!" It was funny because it shattered TV convention... like if they'd just have Vera walk into the bar on Cheers one random episode.

The sports thing wasn't realized as well as it could have been, but I got some decent chuckles out of it.  And I laughed out loud at least 3 or 4 times.  Not the best episode, but certainly no stinker.  So far I've enjoyed this year's season much better than the two before it.  I think they're on a roll.

American Dad was pretty lame.  I mean, it was like "Let's do Family Guy, but instead of a talking dog we'll have a talking fish AND a talking alien."  It felt forced.  There were a couple laughs, but not enough for 30 minutes.

My last accident was almost 6 years ago when I first moved to Harrisburg.  There's a ramp to get onto the highway right by my house, and there's essentially no acceleration lane.  You gotta sit there and wait for an opening.  I was behind this car that was waiting, saw a big gap, saw the car begin to pull out, so I looked back, saw I had space too and accelerated.  Thing was, the driver in front of me chickened out and stopped.  So I smacked right into the back of her car and dinged their bumper.  The driver got out... looked at the damage... I said we couldn't just sit in the intersection, that we should drive someplace and exchange info.  She suggested a bank down the road... but I'd only lived there for a day or two and didn't know the area.  I said OK, figuring I'd find the place once I got to the business district.  She took off, but I had to wait until I had an opening, which was a good 10 or 15 cars.  I drove to the business district, stopped at the first bank I saw, and couldn't find her.  I drove around a bit but came up empty.  So I just drove off to work.  The damage was extremely minor, but whatever garage did it would probably have charged a mint to repaint the whole bumper.  And my insurance might have gone up and everything.  My ignorance of the area got me off scott-free.  I mean, I didn't know what else to do.  But I'm sure there was one pissed-off woman sitting in a bank someplace that afternoon.

I've only really had one roommate (besides my wife), that was in my first year at college.  He was friendly enough, but I could never get past that he treated his girlfriend very poorly.  She went to a different college, and he cheated on her constantly.  She visited a few times and was the nicest thing you'd ever want to meet.  It was heartbreaking, but I knew it wasn't my place to bring it up, and she never asked.

Oh yeah, the phone was in his name, so I'd pay him a few buck every month for what I owed.  I always paid in cash.  The first month of summer, his mom called my mom and demanded the $180 I never paid in phone bills.  I didn't have anything to prove I paid, so I ended up having to fork it over.  Funny, my bill was never over $30 since I barely made any long-distance calls.

But there was a happy ending.  He joined a fraternity that was heavily into hazing.  They demanded so much of his time that he failed out both semesters.  He was forced to take a year off, and I don't think he ever came back.  Serves him right.   ;)

My wife, BTW, is a fantastic roommate!

I think you'd run out of room to move pretty quickly, and wouldn't be able to take out more than a dozen before you'd just be piled over and unable to fight.
