I think Hasbro needs to be careful.

They really are running a risk of having too many big things at once.

I'm glad they're doing them, but I don't want to see them crash and burn like they did during the EP1/end of POTF2 era.

My first choice would be a Death Star playset. My second choice would be a new larger AT-AT so that if you put an AT-AT next to the AT-TE, the AT-AT doesn't look ridiculous.

Are both heads available in the package or is it the type of thing where half of the Toht figures will have one head and the balance of figures made will have the other?

I guess you're right, I'll probably want a second Toht figure just to display with the melting head.

Since Hasbro has indicated that the Ark Spirit/Ghost will be something they want to work into the deluxe line, perhaps that will come with a Belloq on fire. Since Dietrich is also rumored for this wave, perhaps he'll come with an imploding head. So combining the deluxe figure set with the Toht and Dietrich figures will allow you to recreate the climax of the movie.

Great wave of figures. I just wish one of the figures in there had been a re-make of the Vintage Kenner Belloq figure in the tan slacks/white shirt that he wears for most of the movie.

Oh well, I guess they have to leave at least ONE vintage figure unmade.

You almost have to wonder the strategy of that. Obviously since the figures are so darn hard to find 'cause the pegs are clogged with KotCS and RotLA figures, I guess many of us are going to order by the case - I hope the online retailers get cases of this wave and all future waves with 2x of each figure. That way if you only want one set you can easily pair up with a like-minded collector and split the case.

I like both, I hope it's the first of many beast resculpts.

I'd like to think that we might start to see some beast resculpts too, but I think we kind of lucked out with regards to the Rancor - the Force Unleashed version paved the way for us to get a new Jabba's Palace version. I think if Shaak Ti was going to attack the Apprentice with a bunch of Dewbacks instead of Rancors, then we'd have a new Dewback from the game and then eventually be getting a new Dewback w/Sandtrooper. I doubt Hasbro is going to start resculpting the OT beasties.

It would be great if they gave us a new Tauntaun, but I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for one.

Anyone find the two comic packs from wave one Legacy? Tol Skorr/Asaaj, Durge/Anakin

I was hoping to find them, but haven't seen anyone anywhere report finding them, so I guess they aren't out yet.

I was just about to ask the same thing and then I saw Sal's post above.

None of the places I went to seemed to have it in stock. All of them had older TAC sets (Mouse/Basso, Shan/Jundland, etc...)

I'm sure we'll see them soon, but I hope the stagnant TAC product doesn't make finding the newer sets hard to find.

On a side-note, it seems to me that suffering through those last two waves of WalMart exclusive 2-packs has finally paved the way for us to get the 2009 wave which I think is absolutely fantastic! The Ewoks are great, I love the pilfered armor pieces that they are wearing. The Rogus Squadron pilots are fantastic, I love that we're starting to get non-human Rebel pilots. The Evo sets were a great start, so these two will fit in nicely with them. The Sunber/Amanin set is also great, I'm definitely going to want to grab a couple of these just to open.

In terms of the regular release sets, the only one that has me perplexed is the pose they put the Dark Empire Luke in. To have a figure with such a fantastic head sculpt and such a piss-poor body is very disappointing. Otherwise, this line looks great. I am actually more excited about the Comic 2-packs that are coming out than I am of the regular Legacy Collection figures.

My TRU had 4 tonight, so three other guys and myself snagged one each.

question for those that have these, I seen the pics of them but not with the packs removed and showing the back.  How are the quad gun and scuba clones pack attach to them? 

The Quad Gun Clone backpack has a hook that slides into a hole in the armor backplate, similar in the same way the Antennae slotted into the back of the SA Clone sculpt. This holds the backpack and the mechanical "arms" that then plug into the quad canon.

The Scuba Clone's backpack has a peg that inserts into a hole in the armor backplate, similar to the Jetpack Deluxe Clone.
