I backed him right at the end.  Still undecided if I really need him or not, so hopefully he shoots up in price and the decision is made for me.

I found 8-10 each of Fury, Gamora, and Harkness from the Stomper wave at my local target, but they have zero Goliath, Yelena, or Talos?  Single figure cases suck.

Other Toy Lines / Re: 2022: What Are You Collecting?

I'm still buying all Black series, but often holding off for clearance or sale prices.  Still buying up all the TVC stuff as well.  Trying to limit purchases of anything else just due to space.  I still buy some vintage SW here and there and Marvel Legends occasionally, but holding off on other toy lines for the most part.

I have been picking up those little working 3" arcade games like this one from EE.  I've just been lucking my way into them at various stores, so if anyone has a reliable resource that sells these please let me know.

Right on,  I’m not going to tempt fate and get myself in trouble… the whole thing has a very soup nazi feel to it.  I shot you a PM.  :)

Spot on.  The majority of the FB page posts are small wars with other 3P producers or people that look at them funny.  Not worth making the naughty list with these guys.

My annual bonus is small, but I did get a promotion and a large raise in June, so I spent a small fortune on Stan Solo stuff this past few months getting caught up before more stuff is gone.  Garindan, Slave Leia, Oola, Ghost Obi-Wan and Yoda, the Black Death Star Droid, Droids Threepio, the Bantha, and maybe 8 or so astromechs…if it was in the movies and I didn’t already have a real one, I bought it.  The only thing I can’t buy that I want is R2-Q5, which seems to have come and gone.  The eBay site also has a sold out K-3PO listed, but it’s also sold out.  I’d love to get those two.

Try emailing them if there is something you want that isn't listed.  The Slave Leia was sold out for a few months and I kept checking back.  Then I finally emailed them and they had some available that they just hadn't gotten around to posting.  Really cool stuff, but so expensive!

I've gotten to the point where I refuse to pay full price for the Black Series.  The price increases have been pretty apalling.  Between my monthly $5 coupon at GameStop, Black Friday sales or other sales in general?  I've been bargain hunting in this line.  I was just able to score Figrin D'an and the Fifth Brother Inquisitor for $9.99 each from Amazon.  I got Fixer with my GameStop coupon, and Sev with the Black Friday sale.

I'm tempted to go that route, but there's just as many black series I've only seen once or twice at retail, let alone on clearance.  Some I will wait on, but I don't have the patience or the organization to sit on them for months waiting for clearance prices.

I took advantage of the sales this weekend at GameStop and picked up Republic Commando Fixer.  It's pretty laughable though that a $19 Black Series figure now seems like a good deal.

I bought like ten figures from that sale and was thinking what an amazing deal I got spending under $200.   ::)

I received the Ferrix Trooper and Tibidon Obi-Wan today from Target. Still waiting on the Shoretrooper…

Ha - I got the Obi and Shoretrooper, but am waiting on the Trooper.

I haven't caught all of this series yet, but appreciate the breakdown.  I'm more interested to see it now after hearing others' thoughts.  I personally think too many movies and TV shows jump through scenes too quickly to advance the plot.  For example, the old "Luke staring at the sunset" in ANH is one of my favorite scenes of all time.  That tension between following your dreams versus your responsibilities and family commitments is just so well done.  We don't get a lot of that kind of art nowadays and I find myself wishing some scenes would just slow down to show how a character is really feeling versus racing to the next plot point.  However, if the scenes are just extended as time filler or to linger on the lighting elements a little longer, that isn't really getting to what I want either.  If it isn't building on the character's thoughts and feelings to make us care more about them and what they're going through, then it's just extra wasted time.  Hoping to catch up over the break to see how GOTHOTD compares.

Got an amazing deal at Gamestop today.  Their pre-black Friday event is 25% off all collectibles and figures if you buy their Gamestop bag for $5.  I grabbed the Holiday Wookie, Gaming Greats Battle Droid, RC-1140, RC-1207, KX Security Droid, Riot Scout Trooper, and 2x Coin Collection Tusken exclusives - all for about $20 or less each.  Also nabbed a handful of clearance figures including some TVC - all clearance is 50% off the marked price.

Do I want this? I don't know if I want this.

I'm hopeful this refresh wave has a different assortment where the previous "rares" are now the common ones.

Wish in one hand, **** in the other.  See which one fills up first.   ;)

Anyone end up with spares of these?  I'm in the market for a few more...

I preordered these from Amazon and EE.  They shipped in multiple shipments and most were pretty banged up.  Pretty common to find them at Targets near me now and I've piecemealed a decent set of them together, returning the mail order ones to Target just because it's so much easier.

Got my vintage style Slave Leia from Stan Solo and it looks amazing.  Pricey for sure, but these guys got it to my house in like 48 hours.  I'd order from them again - maybe when I get my annual bonus from work...
