I have the day off from work since I'm consulting at a bank. So far this morning I've been rearranging my office where my Star Wars stuff is displayed. Last night my wife (Carrie aka carebear) cleaned out the office closet for me since I'm a pack rat, so that freed up a ton of space for us. I packed away anything Star Wars related that I didn't have room to put out, and moved those into the garage. One entire wall in the garage is covered with Rubbermaid containers packed with Star Wars stuff. I can't wait to get a house, so that I can display EVERYTHING that I own.
Later today we're having some friends over for a BBQ.
What are you doing today (if you have the day off from work)?

Well up here in Canada, we have the long weekend too. Right now, I'm on 2 weeks vacation. I had planned to go back packing with a friend in the mountains but it will have to wait till next year. :( There have been a lot of fires in the areas that I hike & my friend & I decided to hold off as we don't need to go into that mess. The bears are roaming & there hungry! :o
So I am just going to kick back & relaxe & enjoy the weather & get things done around home.
I guess a good start for me is to go through my stuff & catalog what I have in storage boxes. Way too much stuff! ;D

Going for a big bike ride today, looking at 30 miles or more.
Shockingly, I've not had one drop of alcohol this entire holiday. Sometimes I amaze even myself. :)

Going to pick up my new mattress and box springs in a little bit, do an oil change, and veg out, as usual.

I had my fantasy football draft today. Now I'm doing homework. Tonight I'll probably play videogames

Got back from a weekend at the beach about 2 hours ago. Now I'm doing homework.

I had to work all weekend, including today! :(

I had to work today for 5 hours 145-645. Only good thing about it is I got paid triple so I made a nice amount for those five hours.

I played Galaxies pretty much ALL DAMN DAY.
Isn't that incredibly exciting?

I had a great Labor Day. I was in Atlanta with Joe for Dragon Con, and we started off the day at about 1pm when he pierced me a couple, 2,3 times (he's a professional piercer, for those that don't know), then we went to a Chinese place for lunch-- and it turns out they had Japanese food there too, so I was very happy- had some Miso soup and an avocado roll. Then we shared a big, strong drink called a Scorpion bowl, where they give you two big straws and you drink it out of a flaming bowl. I was buzzed trying to find my way around the airport, but got on the plane finally, and found my way home. :)
Back to reality, unfortunately. Whenever I go out of town, when I return my cat follows me around and screams at me for a good hour or so, it's her way of breaking me down so I give her more treats. It works every time.

I spent the entire day sleeping, after spending the entire day, night, and following Labor Day morning (like 30 straight hours) moving out of our old place, and cleaning it like crazy. I'm wiped...
Last night was the first time we've actually slept at our new place, even though we've had it for a good couple weeks now. If only I could find any of my belongings now in the several thousand (it seems) boxes scattered all throughout the new house... I'm completely lost. :-\
And actually having to commute to work really sucks! >:(
