Here is a thread to list your recent saga purchases. Please don't list the stuff you bought last year.
-
Here is what I got
Wat Tambor
Coleman Trebor
Aayla Secura
Yoda and Chian
-
Today I found the 2nd Jedi council set with Yarael Poof, Depa and Yaddle. I aslo got a Saga Rebel Fleet Trooper. I finally got to opening my Seperatist set with Poggle, Dooku and San Hill. Last week I bought the HOth 4 pack. Oh yes, I almost forgot. I found Ashla & Jempa last week. Been doing ok lately but I still can't find many single carded Saga figures.
-
I picked up a yellow Clone Trooper 3-pack on Friday at TRU. It's only the second time I've spotted a Clone Trooper 3-pack.

Must suck.
Since my job requires quite a bit of travel, I get to hit quite a bit of retailers between my appointments. So, I have seen on the Clone pks each kind the following number of times:
White - 5 times, have 5 sets
Yellow - 6 or 7 times, have 2 sets
Blue - 4-5 times, have 2 sets
Green - 4 times, have 2 sets
Red - 2 times, have 0 sets
I've seen a great distribution of these at Target, TRU and Kmart. Very cool to see them that much, but would be even better if they had limited the production of the Launcher sets to make more of these, especially the white set.
Luckily, there is not one item that is on the retail market other than the new A-Wing that I don't currently have. Next up is the Elan/Obi Wan wave.
:P
-
Haven't bought much Saga stuff lately. Haven't had a lot of time to go out since my days are about 12 hours long (commute & work), and by the time I get home from work I'm exhausted. Plus, the wife has been looking but has been unsuccessful. At least she puts a ton of effort into my collection.
-
that is really nice that she does that for you.
-
WEll, my case from Newforce came in. I was really looking forward to this case when I ordered it, but in the waiting period for it to arrive, I ended up with most of the contents thanks to Scott and Jim.
I am fortunate that another geek resides in the same office as I do, so I managed to unload some of the doubles: Faytonni, WA-7, Emperor, Ashla & Jempa. Still, that means I'll have doubles of the Emperor, WA-7, Faytonni, Wat Tambor and Coleman Trebor. There are worse troubles I could have.
Non-saga wise, I also received my unleashed and convention Kirk ;)
-
I have not got any new saga stuff, besides the WA-7 wave. But i am hunting for the Ayy Vida and friends.
-
Well, thanks to a preorder shipping from Kebco, and getting some figs from my buddy JediMAC, I think I'm "almost" caught up now. Over the past week I have received Ephant Mon, Aayla Secura, Barriss Offee, Wedding Padme, Yoda and Chian, Ashla and Jempa, Vader Throne Room, and Luke Throne Room. I am waiting on another preorder to ship from Kebco with Mynock Chewie and the Snowtrooper, and I think I will be all caught up until the Concept Stormie/Elan/Obi/Ayy/Dignitary wave hits the stores. I hope that retail will be brighter for the upcoming year than it was in 2003.
-
I just found WA-7, Lt. Dannl Faytonni, and the Emperor. Other than that, the last thing I bought was the 3 pack of Jedi.
-
I bought the 1st Jedi Council scene with Mace, Oppo, and Even last weekend. Just for your info I bought an ARC Trooper from the CW series.
-
I just got some new stuff from Wal-Mart,
Ayy Vida, Padme Amidala (Lars Homestead), Sleazebaggano, Bail Organa, Obi-Wan Kenobi (Night Club), Imperial Dignitary #1, Concept Stormtrooper, and Clone Wars Wave 2 - Asajj, Durge, Obi, Mace.. Good score!!!
-
I was able to pick up Bail Organa and Janus Greetjatus this past weekend at Target (the only two left from the wave, other than an Ashla/Jempa pack). I really wish I could have, or will, find the new Obi Wan and the Concept Trooper...both of those figures look great. Nice to find something new too. Also saw a couple of the Target A-Wing, but I passed for now, since we were Christmas shopping for family, and had spent enough already that day :).
-
I Picked up 5 of the newest saga wave, I haven't seen Elan Or AYY yet. Today I found the old Deluxe Yoda & C3-P0 droid factry figs at KB for $3.99 It was the first time I Had seen them at retail. I'm caught up on clone wars stuff.
-
nothing new yet, besides some 12" from TRU for $9.98 i got Mace Windu, Zam Wesell, Count Dooku, Padme Amidala, Lando (Skiff), Geonosian Warrior. I was pleased with what i got.
-

Welcome to JD, Phil.
Just a couple of days ago I found Aayla, Elan, Deluxe 3PO, Hail Fire, Anakin's Starfighter, and a couple of freshly stocked AAT's. Wedding Padme's, that orange/yellow stripper, etc. Target is awesome now that the box-buying bastard is gone.
-
i actually found the new ultra sets of 3p0 and the general rieekan today in tru :o :o
no wampa tho... >:(
-
Got some new 3 3/4 figures from Wal-Mart they i got:
Hoth Trooper, Re-Card Aayla Secura, Re-Card Barriss Offee, Re-Card Ashla & Jempa.
So they must of had Luke Skywalker (Wampa Attack), R-3PO, Yoda & Chian Re-Card but sold out of them, so i had some luck last night.
-
Today while shopping at a nearby Wal*Mart I found and bought, of course, Luke, R-3PO, Hoth Trooper, Kren Blista Vanee(sp?), CW Kit, CW Saesee, and the recarded versions of Ayyla, Barris and Yoda/Chian. There was plenty of these but the new Han and SA Clonetrooper, as well as the other recarded figures were nowhere to be seen. Still a darn pleasin' haul!
-
found these at Target: Kren Blista Vaness, Achk-Med Beq, R-3PO, Luke (Hoth), Yoda & Chian (Re-Card), and Ayy Vida, Elan Sleazebaggano, Obi-Wan (Club).
-
Found these at a local Wal-Mart ;D:
Bail Organa
Padmé Amidala (Tatooine Travel Outfit)
Imperial Dignitary Janus Greejatus
Imperial Dignitary Kren Blista Vaness
Achk-Med Beq
R-3PO
Luke (Hoth Attack)
Hoth Trooper
The three ULTRA figures
The 3rd wave of CW figures
-
I was able to pick up a few figures this weekend after seeing Return of the King. I found the remains of the Hoth wave (R-3PO, Klen Blista Vanee) at Target, and the one and only Ultra figure at TRU (General Rieekan). I was happy to find something new, although I was hoping I would have gotten there soon enough to find a Hoth Luke and/or Wampa. I guess I'll take what I can get though, since we live 40 miles away from these stores :P. Boy, are those ultra cards ever BIG!!
-
Yay for me! I picked up the Ultra Rieekan and Wampa today at Target I also picked up Screen Scene War Room #2. That Wampa is awesome! I'm looking forward to picking up the new Hoth Luke to go with it. :)
-
I was able to find the lone remaining Ultra 3PO yesterday at Target. It looks like they have redone Target's toy section, as there were more pegs for SW figs (including pegs for the Animated series figs). The only figures this particular Target had though were 2 Secret Ceremony Anakins (new cards), 2 Ultra Rieekans, and this one 3PO. I was happy to find it though, the search continues for Hoth Luke and the Wampa :). It really seems like, at least in this area, that SW figures are really selling well....very little hanging on the pegs. The last time I picked up a R-3PO (couple weeks ago), there were several Dignitaries and Achk Med-Beqs hanging on the pegs, and those were long gone yesterday as well. Glad to see that it is selling well, its just getting tough to find things :P.
-
This past weekend was an Obi weekend for me I guess. I was able to finally find the Outlander Bar Obi Wan, which is probably the best Episode II version they have done IMO. I was also fortunate enough to find a Clone Wars Animated Obi-Wan as well, and although many people dislike this line, I really think they are kind of cool. I was especially impressed with the packaging for these figures. I'm not as big of a fan of the regular Clone Wars figures, and other than the SA Clone, I don't think I will buy anymore of those....but I'd like to pick up the rest of the animated line. I guess I don't mind them being cartoony and not "fitting in", because they are from a cartoon...and I like them to represent that. Now if we could just get some Hoth Lukes and Wampas around here I could get a little bit caught up :). Good luck to everyone in their hunts!
-
Although, I guess not technically "Saga", I did find the rest of the Animated Clone Wars Wave 1 (Anakin, Mace, Asajj). I was also able to finally find a Concept Stormtrooper at TRU.
-
Just thought I'd post an update of what I've been able to find (or get with some help from Mr. JediMAC) this year. It seems like a little bit of a drought around here lately, after a pretty good month in January. Is it kind of slowing down around you right now too? So far this year for me I have found (or received):
Hoth Wave
Luke Skywalker (Hoth Attack)
R-3PO
Hoth Trooper (skipped this one)
Tatooine Wave
Jedi Luke Skywalker (Jabba's Palace)
R2-D2 (Jabba's Sail Barge)
R1-G4
Animated Clone Wars
Obi-Wan
Anakin
Assaj
Dooku
Yoda
Clone
Durge
Mace
Ultra Figures
Wampa
C-3PO with Escape Pod
General Rieekan
Figures from 2003
Concept Stormtrooper
Outlander Club Obi-Wan
Still on the lookout for Jabba's Palace wave (especially Skiff Lando), Ultra Jabba and his denizens, and the Yavin wave as well (as many of you probably are). It is nice that everything is coming out earlier than normal this year (so far), but it sometimes makes me feel "behind" :). Best of luck to all of you in your searches.
-
picked up Jedi Council sets 1 and 2 at target today
-
I picked up 5 battle droids last night from wal-mart they had them for $2 each, and I also got the 12 inch Lando this weekend as well.
-
Hoth Luke, Holograph Luke, and Throne Room Luke at TRU
-
Saga Tie Fighter with Imperial Pilot, amd the Jedi Starfighter...both at KB for under $10
-
Saga Tie Fighter with Imperial Pilot, amd the Jedi Starfighter...both at KB for under $10
Very nice pick up there. What percentage off is your local KB at now?
-Fish-
-
I picked up another Tie Fighter pilot and J-Quille last night.
-
Nothing new past the Tatooine wave again this weekend, although the Target nearest us had the Obi-Wan and Maul glass sets (2 of each). I picked up the Obi-Wan, but held off on the Maul one for now. I haven't decided if I want to get the prequel glasses or not, these sets are pricey enough the way it is. Packaging looks nice though.
-
Visiting friends out of town this weekend, stopped by a Target to check out what they had. I found a lone Dutch Vander hanging on the pegs (as well as 1 Hoth Luke, 2 Dignitaries, and 1 R-3PO). I picked up Dutch. Not the most exciting figure in the world, but I was impressed with it nonetheless. The helmet and articulation (specifically the knees, couldn't even see he had articulated knees until out of the package) are great, and a good background figure. Still no sign of the Star Destroyer wave around, hoping to find Dengar and Bossk.
-
Target made my day on monday. Picked up Dengar, Bossk, Hoth Luke, and Dutch Vandar. Didnt have enough money on me to grab any other stuff, but I'll be back... Bang Bang, Baby.
-
Yoda and Battle Droid set thingie...it was 3.99 at KB and all I had was a fin on me, so...yep.
Kevin
-
Target glasses and Lando Skiff at SWM
-
Still. Nothing new, very dry right now!
Although, I did find the Clone Wars Cartoon figures, all 8 of them! ;D
-
Dry around here too, particularly with basic figures. There seems to be quite a few Ultra Jabbas/Denizens/Obi/and Jangos hanging around here and there though. I see the Hoth wave fairly regularly as well, and every once in awhile the Tatooine wave. Other than that, the only figure outside of those first two 2004 waves that I have seen here (and not gotten from someone else) is a lone Dutch Vander that I saw two weeks ago. Getting impatient for Bossk and Dengar, I don't have any versions of those characters in the collection...but it sounds like some areas have quite a few, so hopefully they will show up soon. Can't wait for the Endor figures either.
-
Bossk
Dengar
:-*
Kevin
-
Boy, I would love to see those about now!!!! Although they look like they will be repacks for OTC and I am not really that much into repacks unless they are a variation...speaking of variations, with all of these reissues/repacks, how come they couldn't give us a different Bespin guard figure??
-
Found something new this weekend, in our new hometown :). The TRU nearest us had 3 Ultra Ewoks hanging on the pegs, so I picked one up. Glad to see it, first thing new in quite some time now. Now if only the basic figures would start showing up.
-
My parents and brother came down to visit this weekend, and stopped off at a Wal-Mart in a town along the way. My brother was able to pick up Captain Antilles, Tie Fighter Pilot, and Tanus Spijek for me, and this, combined with a package coming this week from Jeff (Nataku) will get me close to caught up with Saga. Still on the look out for General Lando, J'Quille, and possibly Ozzel (not sure if I'm picking that one up or not). Also still need the rest of the glass sets.
-
Anakin Secret Ceremony
Luke (Hoth)
only if I had bought the dang wampa...
-
I found the Leia Target cup set this weekend, still no sign of the Luke/Anakin ones though. Otherwise, the pegs were full of mainly Throne Room Luke/Hoth Han/Snowtrooper/Anakin case, as well as some of the Yavin wave (no Tie Pilots). Starting to see a lot of Dodonnas around here it seems.
-
Actually made a Saga purchase yesterday for the first time in awhile. I picked up a HOF C-3PO at Wal-Mart. The Star Wars section was pretty much decimated, only a couple of Hoth Hans and TR Lukes hanging there, and a lone 3PO (the bubble was pretty smashed up). I never had this figure (in any release), and decided to pick it up. Its a pretty good looking 3PO I think, happy to add it to the collection.
-
Received my latest today:
Bail Organa
Endor Rebel Commando (no Beard)
Obi wan (Coruscant club)
Throne room Darth Vader
Trying to catch up!!
-
I finally bought the Barriss Offee that has been hanging on the Toys R Us peg for nearly a year. I had not bought this figure before. Many times I would just see it up there and contimplated buying it but just never did. Today Bariss is home with me and I'm glad she is.

Congrats on ridding the world of another peg warmer DB :)
-
My job there was done :0)
-
Nobody's bought any Saga stuff since September? ;)
I'm pleased as piss to have finally caved and bought a carded Walmart Kitik Cantina Set off of ebay tonight. It filled me with a warm fuzzy feeling, like I've filled some long-forgotten void in my heart. Good times. I think that closes out my Saga collection to complete enough for me.
-
I've found the Endor Generals on OTC cards, so the last Saga item I want is the Leia cup set.
Guess I'll be doing some ebay searching later. ::)

Have the prices dropped any since this hit retail in the 3 pack, or are they still crazy high? I think the last time I checked, the set of three individual packs was going on ebay for like $225 or so. And to think, I passed on getting a set of the three individual figures for $75 'cause I thought it was too expensive when they first slipped out, before they got canceled the first time ::)
-
I was reading Q&A recently at GH.com the other day, and Adam Pawlus said in it that Captain Antilles was a pegwarmer (or something to that effect), and kinda trashed the figure for being made...
It may be the case in some areas, but in Pittsburgh he's not overly common, or "pegwarming" by any means. I think his potential as an army builder has helped him sell steadily. Dodonna's a LITTLE more prevelant, but not by much.
I just didn't see him as the pegwarmer some have... I run into one here and there, maybe a few at a K-Mart or KB where figures are more $, but at WM's, Targets, and TRU's, Antilles is drying up.
Same with Ozzel and other of that ilk... The customizers and army builders have spoken in my book, and they'll pick one of those up every whipstitch it seems.
The same thing happens with BBI's Elite Force figures at Toys R Us. They get a glut, then slowly but surely they sell, one by one. It's really an impressive thing to kinda monitor when you're shopping.
Some folks out htere must have impressive armies going. I wanted another Antilles or two but damned if I can get them now. Gotta check some of the lower traffic stores perhaps.

Bought it on a 34.99 BIN, with a somewhat steep shipping of $12 from HK. Not too shabby, or at least I found it acceptable. I found it in miyatoys ebay listings after OCB posted the die-cast assortment on the frontpage the other day.
Yeah, I passed on the set early on too, and regretted it ever since. I really had faith that they'd make it out, or at least I'd have found it in the collector stores when I was doing montly trips to Japan during 2002-2003.
-

****. I would have jumped on that in a heartbeat. Great price on what is basically a "prototype" at this point. These will never* make it to retail in this form.
*By saying never, I really mean that they won't make it to retail until the day after I buy one on ebay for an unusally large sum of money. The day after that, they will be available at every retail outlet known to man, and probably for under a dollar.

You know, not to bash the guy, he's a massively productive community contributer and had a great newsletter, and was once really wired in, but I don't consider his column these days to be authoritive. Not to sidetrack here but there's a whole discussion to be had if there's anyone who can really be authoritive when making statements like are often made in the Q&A's on the big sites. It bugs me a bit when a regional perspective gets amplified like that in a forum that is (most likely) read by people as gospel.
Here, from that wave Dodonna is the one I still see. Antilles always seemed to be snatched up. Regardless nothing in that wave here lasted long, considering there are '02 figures still hoarding space at our TRUs. They're both good generic figures. And since Dodonna and Antilles had that jacket-swap psuedo-feature, they probably moved better than one could expect for a chicken-neck guy and an old man in a trenchcoat.
Shame that he needed to bash Antilles, really.
-
He still has two up in the same auction. The big concern is the quality of the cardback. He's been using a single image group for every auction. I'll try to take a shot when mine arrives - he shipped it yesterday, apparently. I'm a lazy ebayer and didn't bother asking him beforehand. :)

I guess that was my thought on it exactly Jared, in that his word is taken with a lot of weight behind it, yet it is a regional observation and I'd say his region is the exception on this one, and not the rule from what I hear.
Antilles is a figure I would buy another couple of if I saw them, but damned if I can't find one in my area... And I was out last night thinking about this and I honestly didn't see many Dodonna's at all either. I saw one on a HORRIBLY trashed card at a Target. That's it.
At the same Target sits Hoth leftovers (mostly soldier and R-3PO) among some other 03/04 stuff, and the odd OTC remnant. Not much.
It's like the guy who sees dozens of VOTC and says they're pegwarmers. Maybe for him, but even the ANH wave in my area moves... Slowly at WM's where it was overordered, but ya know I don't see many Luke's or Leia's at all anymore, and Han/Ben is dwindling.
ROTJ comes into stores (Target/TRU) by several cases at a time, and they always sell out. I saw a LOT of Boba Fett last night though, but the sheer # of him implied to me that EVERY other figure in the case blew out of there, and he seems to be selling too.
I don't think Star Wars has jumped in popularity all of a sudden... The blitz surrounding the DVD's wasn't exactly awe inspiring or anything. I just think good figures are proving that they WILL sell. Be it $10 pricetags or not.
And I guess trashing the Antilles figure, which ironically was an old review of mine that we just got posted, and one in which I praised the figure quite a bit (even with his few drawbacks), just happened to be an instance where it stuck out to me. I just didn't agree with the sentiment at all. To me, he was a figure LONG overdue and I think he's done very well at retail.

I'll see what yours looks like before I order one from him... but that's a damn good price.

Speak of the devil, it arrived today. It's mint. :o Wasn't expecting that. The guy friggin' rules. I'm so happy I could pee myself.
EDIT: The pic, uploaded on aol, the world's shittiest image host:

Hmmm... more and more tempting every day. Good addition to the collection Jared, and at a great price.
-
Awesome pick-up there Jared! I look forward to seeing it in person
so I can swap it with the ****** C-4/5 one that Scott sent me, when you're not looking! 8)
-
Minor, but since I discovered the Antilles arm swap and how it makes him a completely better figure, I am now on an Ozzel/Antilles kick and trying to scarf up what's left.
Ozzel's just as tough to find here now, so I'm having a rough go, but my lady picked up two Antilles at her local WM tonight. Limb swap on the way, and then head swaps down the road for them.
Yay!
-
Jesse, do you boil and pop for your headswaps, or do you cut?
Kevin
-
Boil/pop for everything, never cut. It's not condusive to good figures afterwards I've found.
-
Not that I purchased any of them, but oddly enough, several of our local Targets got a bunch of Saga Hoth and Tatooine wave figures in today. Weird... ???
Bar-2s up the ying yang.
-
My local Target just got in a ****load of Luke and Anakin cup sets. There's got to be about twenty of each.
Still no Leia, though. >:(
-
I picked up a carded blonde-haired Imperial Officer and deluxe Jango w/ snap-on armor today at a toy show for $5 each.
-
I just got another Imperial Forces At-St driver and Tie Fighter pilot from a trade.
-
Got 4 loose Clone Pilots in the mail. ;D
-
Scored a Battle of Hoth set with my much wanted R3-A2 on ebay for $15. ;D He's the only one I wanted, but since he goes for $20 by himself, I figured what the hey.
-
I recently scored another two tie fighter pilots, one from a scummer and the other from a local shop. I should have another on the way.
-
Just got another good score from trading which included a Han At-St Driver, Imp forces At-St drives and TIE Pilot.
-
Picked up a General Madine and Tie Pilot.
-
Pick up an Imp Forces At-St driver yesterday.
-
Received another Imp Forces At-St Driver via trade.
-
Got a Clone Trooper Republic Gunship pilot to open.
-
All in total, I recently scored 12 At-St drivers in various trades, 7 Imp forces, 5 Han drivers. This score really helped my battalion.
-
Scored 5 more Imp Forces At-St drives, another Han At-St and TIE Pilot.
-
I grabbed the 2nd last figure I need to complete my 1995 to 2005 carded collection, the Han AT-ST Driver. I got it through a trade and it's so minty. 8)
-
Got another 4 Imp Forces At-St Drivers and another TIE pilot.
-
Got a Tie Pilot in the mail today from I Am Sith.
-
Got another Tie Pilot in the mail today.
-
Acquired an A-Wing Fighter w/Pilot and Geonosian Speeder w/Darth Tyranus MIBs. Now, I can open and display the Green A-Wing next to the Red POTF2 A-Wing. I don't have the other modern A-Wing from WM and will probably track it down later.
-
At the Pittsburgh Steel City Con, I picked up:
-Deluxe Riekean w/Board
-Captain Antilles
And...
-Duel Anakin
-Arena Ki Adi
-Pilot Obi
The first two are for customizing parts... Antilles makes a fun generic officer to chill with my new/improved RFT army. And Riekean will be some schmuck pointing at stuff with a redone rank badge in Echo base.
The last 3... Just wanted the Saber hilts. Seriously.
I wanted to replace the shoddy grey cast ones that Aurra Sing's 2012 figure had. They really looked poopy and those diecast saber hilts from 2002 are about the only positive thing from 2002 other than good blast effects. They're all fairly generic too, and will look damn spiffy in Aurra's briefcase of vibrators trophies.
-
I picked up an Ultra Ewok w/attack glider recently for like $10. Fits well with all my other ewoks, IMO.
-
I still like it.
My only gripe is it sags over time. My one (there's a repaint of it IIRC, since I have 2 for some reason) also got a little ticky tacky over time.
-
One came with a battle pack...or was that a different glider.
-
I'm pretty sure it's the same, and that's why I have two. THat's probably the one that becomes the stickiest of the icky.
-
My last figure in this toyline was Captain Antilles.
-
Cool "First Shot" added to the collection:
