Kubricks / Re: Toning Down...

"Never be a completist." remains a constant in collecting.

Everything fights for attention and shelf space, so there's a conceivable limit to how much you can appreciate in a given space and time. Survival of the fittest. Don't try to live up to a checklist, no one imposed it upon you. Don't binge-collect. Take it easy, one or two items at a time. IF you do manage to complete any collection, then let it be by coincidence of simply buying what you like.

I can see myself getting the QGJ brick, and that's about it.

But I really want to see a 400% Yakface.. how likely is that to happen?

So, it looks like I'll have to save up and suck it up.  :-X

Kubricks are probably the most unforgiving toy line to collect, and I'm not even a completist.

No TPM Obi-wan in the line-up? Lame.

As an ewok fan, these do nothing for me. Besides the obvious cheapness of painting the same bear with different patterns, the head rags are a distinctive part of an ewok, and these bearbricks undermine the overall ewok-ness of them. For those who can live with that, good on you!

How much would this cost MSRP? I want to secure one before it shoots up to heck on ebay. This is a must-have piece for me.

+ Max Rebo Band Boxset <<< TOP PRIORITY!!!

+WTB any bagged SW Kubricks in BULK. I'm not your typical Kubrick-holic that pays $300 for a single carded figure! :p I'm looking to pay around $7-10 per figure. Sealed cases would be nice!

+Army builders (to flesh out the collection!)
Gammorean Guard (2 or 3 more)
Imperial Troops: Stormtroopers, AT-AT Drivers, anything.. except Biker Scouts, Royal Guards and TIE Pilots

There's no right or wrong answer, just different preferences.

If he had kneepads, I wouldn' mind it. But to me, he's perfect as he is.

Quantity of articulation makes not a good figure. I've seen far too many botched figures from mass market companies who  market POA's as a selling point to not know better. In short, sculpt is key, useful articulation follows.

A large ball/socket joint wouldn't allow a ton more movement at the neck (some though I'm sure),

A larger socket allows more movement.

Knee articulation would ruin this perfect sculpt and its sturdiness. I'm not making stop motion films with these.

The separate helmet is great for customizers, but I would've liked this figure better with a large ball joint neck and no oversize holster.

I don't care much for Hasbro troopers anyways, once Sideshow makes their own I'll be happy.

Gripes? Man, that's the cleanest custom I've seen! What are the casts made up of?
