Sorry. Saw this posted somewhere, and I just had to copy and paste it here. I love this part of the movie.  :)

Agreed. This was probably one of my favorite Joker quotes, and in a weird way, actually made sense.

I just heard about watch-movies.net a couple days ago.  They're not legit, are they?

Yeah, if it's on the internets it's legit.  ;D

Domestic total as of July 22, for TDK is $203,773,518.

Quote
'Dark Knight' Begins Smashingly

After Batman Begins healed the franchise, The Dark Knight restored Batman's former record-breaking glory and then some. Warner Bros.' $185 million sequel blazed its name atop numerous all time charts in its monumental $203.8 million five-day start, which nearly matched the entire run of its predecessor.

The Dark Knight's the fastest picture to cross the $200 million mark ever, eclipsing Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest's eight-day run. It already qualifies as the biggest opening week gross, beating Dead Man's Chest's $196 million, and still has two days to go.

Over the weekend alone, The Dark Knight captured a whopping $158.4 million on over 9,000 screens at 4,366 theaters, breaking Spider-Man 3's benchmark of $151.1 million. Among the other notches on The Dark Knight's utility belt are records for IMAX opening (around $6.3 million at 94 sites over the weekend), midnight opening ($18.5 million at 3,040 venues), single day gross ($67.2 million on Friday), Sunday gross ($43.6 million) and non-holiday Monday gross ($24.5 million).

Only $400 million to go...   ::)

It'd be nice, but I think asking a bit much.

Yeah ... it won't come close.  If it breaks $400 million (which it's starting to look like it will), that would be pretty huge.

But having Titanic at the top of that list is just...well...embarrassing.

Here is a movie about running up and down a sinking ship for almost three hours. Why couldn't they have just jumped into the ******* life boat the first four times they had the chance instead riding the ship down and somehow surviving it? Stupid movie.

anyone catch Lucius Fox's comment regarding the new batsuit? something along the lines of how it can handle a cat? was that foreshadowing or a stupid joke?

in any case, it seems like the whole Selina Kyle thing is wide open for the next movie. i'd be glad to see that.

oh, and it was a good movie.

Given the film's blistering pace at the box office, Titanic may not be possible, but Top 5 maybe.  This film will absolutely crack $400.  It may even do so by this time next week, if it continues making $20 million a day, which it did last week.  If it does that, it will be #2 or #3 all time easy.

The real question is did anyone catch what the joker said to the bank manager after putting a smoke grenade into his mouth? something along the lines of "what doesnt kill you only makes you stranger" Then take into consideration that the manager was played by a fairly famous actor (william fichtner) who hides behind a gun and gets shot in the leg which might mean he would require a cane to help him walk when he heals. Only hint they didnt give us was a riddle ;)
