Watto's Junk Yard / Constantine
« on: March 5, 2005, 03:11 PM »
Do yourselves a favor. Use whatever 7 bucks you were going to shell out for ANOTHER Darth Vader in april, and go see Constantine. This movie blew me away and exceded my expectations in so many ways. It's got so much eye and brain candy it's not even cool. I think I got cavities from this one. I've never read the Hellblazer comics, but I think I just might start.

"John Constantine. *******."

Anyone else see it?

Hasbro,

I recently purchased a Han solo figure from your SAGA line, but his quick draw feature does not work. Also, on one of your Jango Fett figures from the SAGA line, the rocket broke coming out of his jet pack.

I am displeased that a figure designed for children would break so easly.

Can somthing be done for me?

Kevin E. Curdgel

Says me.

Watto's Junk Yard / Grilling and you-Charcoal, or Gas? What make?
« on: February 17, 2005, 12:25 PM »
If any of you are like me, the manlyest of men, you like to have food that has been killed, over an open flame. Thanks to some pure genius, man created the grill. I have a gas Charbroil that we got from Home Depot 2 years ago, and she still cooks like a dream.I need to replace the racks, and the burner cover, soon. It got up to 52 here on Tuesday night, so myself and P'Dubbs had a cookout, and I cooked a nice marinaded piece of Angus. Boy was it sweet. 8)

So how do you grill? Charcoal? Gas? What brand of grill do you swear by?

Watto's Junk Yard / Lone Gunman Storms Mall-Opens Fire
« on: February 14, 2005, 06:12 AM »
Gunman opens fire at mall in upstate New York; one person wounded
KINGSTON, N.Y. (AP) — A lone gunman opened fire with an assault rifle Sunday inside a crowded mall in upstate New York, wounding one person before running out of ammunition and being subdued by employees, authorities said.
The gunman began shooting inside the Hudson Valley Mall shortly after 3 p.m. in Kingston, nearly 90 miles north of New York City.

The 24-year-old gunman went into a Best Buy store and started firing. When he ran out of ammunition, he was captured by mall employees, police said.

Police did not identify the suspect or the type of gun he used. State police Capt. Wayne Olson said investigators did not know the exact number of shots fired.

An Army recruiter was shot in the leg but was not the target of the attack, said Lt. Col. Paul Fanning, a National Guard spokesman. The recruiter was evacuated by helicopter to an Albany hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Another person was injured in the hand, but police said the injury was not a gunshot wound.

The mall was evacuated after the shooting, but an unknown number of workers remained inside after police surrounded the building.

"Everyone was running and screaming. Then I heard the shots," witness Heather Craig told Fox News. "People were running over people. Other people were just standing there dumbfounded."

All mall entrances remained blocked off by police Sunday evening.

-From USA Today and The Associated Press

What an idiot. It's people like that who give owners of certain fire arms a bad name. What gets me is why some employees were allowed to remain in the building. You'd have thought they would have been evacuated with the rest of the people.

Watto's Junk Yard / Left Behind
« on: February 13, 2005, 09:34 AM »
Left Behind is a movie (origionaly a Novel) based in modern times, about the events of the Book of Revelation in the Bible. I'm not super religious, by far, but I do know my apocalyptic occourances. So I'm pretty familiar with Revelation. I was set to sit down and watch an epic story about Dragons, Seals, 10 kingdoms being restored, the restoration of the Temple of Solomon, etc. This was not the case. The story though is told in a very real and understandable way.

People just dissapear. Millions upon millions. Chaos everywhere. The worlds food supply is running out, and there is only one way to restore it.  The 'Eden' project is a way to grow food on useless land, making them 'kingdoms.' The true location of the Temple of Solomon has been found. A 7 year peace plan has been created. Everything is falling into place. The truth then comes out, for only those who belive in God.

The true moral, however, lies within the people left behind from God. Without a true belieif, or innocence. In the loss of everyone, those left behind have to whitness the rise of the Anti-Christ, but at that expense, learn the truth of God, and what it means to be one of his children.

I wont say Left Behind changed my life any, but it did put some important things into perspective, like Family, for one.

Has any one else seen this Movie, or read the book?

I have yet to see the sequal yet, about the 7 years.

« on: February 13, 2005, 09:14 AM »
I went to the Local Wal*Mart to see about a wookie, and I was shocked to see that some one had ripped open the Cartoon Clone Trooper, and taken his BLASTER. Not the whole figure, just the blaster. This confused me. Are the blasters hard to find or somthing?

Is this just some freak occourance?

Watto's Junk Yard / Well, my body is finally telling me somthing...
« on: February 12, 2005, 06:48 AM »
I like so man people, eat deep fried, fast food ALOT. Like, as much as I can get my hands on. Recently though, not so much. Anytime I get near a deep fried food such as French Fries, Tots, Motzerella sticks, I get kind of nausiated, and when I eat it, my insides hurt. I figured this is my bodys way of telling me to stay away from the deep fried foods. The only thing I can still eat deep fried is chicken wings, for some reason, but I havent eaten many of those.

I also am starting to get heartburn every time I drink a cola, or a carmel based drink. So I think my body is saying somthing there. At one point I had quit drinking cola all together, and I felt like 100% better a week after. I think I'm going to have to do that again.

Anyone else have a similar health experience?

Watto's Junk Yard / Holiday Leftovers-Recipies
« on: November 26, 2004, 01:49 PM »
Ok, so it's the day after Thanksgiving, and youve got a pile of food left over. What to do, you ask? Well, let me help you out with one of my favorite recipies.

First, you get a non stick personal meatloaf pan. Then you spray it with some butter flavored pam. Preheat your oven to 350o for ten minutes. Next, put about a half inch to an inch of mashed potatos on the bottom. Next, repeat an inch of stuffing, and an inch of turkey. When that's done, cube one quarter cup of extra sharp american cheese, and put over the top. Then, put it on the middle rack of your oven for 15-18 minutes, or untill the cheese is melted and starting to look golden.

That's my recipie, now, what do you folks do?
