Just heard during NFL pre-game that Alex Trebek has lost his battle with pancreatic cancer.

You have to wonder if Sir Sean Connery met him at the gate and said “Suck it Trebek!” just for the laugh.
This is the way.

I’m not sure I had ever seen the footage of him delivering the actual Vader lines on the Tantive. That was pretty cool, with the accent and all! (Watched last night on YouTube)

Hearing David Prowse's voice in the raw footage makes you look at those scenes very differently, for sure!

It's been nice to see a lot of the tributes to him over the past 24 hours on the news and on social media, too.  But then I saw some people use video or images from a few different scenes that weren't of Dave Prowse in the costume (TESB added scene of Vader walking to his shuttle, ROTJ about to take off the mask, ROTS "Noooo"), and I guess the fan in me winced a bit.  Thankfully the one news report with the unmasking scene cut away before they took off the mask to reveal Sebastian Shaw!  All of that made me search a little harder for Vader stills that I absolutely knew were Dave when I put up my own post.

I couldn’t believe it a couple years ago when I learned he was still alive.

General Yeager was active on social media almost up until the end.  He was regularly answering questions from people on Twitter.

RIP Squiggy.

I changed my FB picture to Henry the Penguin in his honor. (his animated character from Oswald) What a lovable weirdo!

Yeager was an awesome follow.  He didn't mince words with anyone.

Have you read his book?  A great read if you haven't.   I don't know how that guy didn't break his back from carrying his massive stones around all his life.

Ah, that is sad news.  Right when Fett is at his most popular too.  I have a life size Fett cutout on my SW room door autographed by JB.   :(

Dawn Wells.  Always "Mary Anne" to me.  Has to be one of my first crushes, well before I ever knew what a crush was.  Top 5 hottie for me.  RIP.
