Kinda glad I did wait though as I'd want a removable bucket one... I'm just dejected at the inevitable cost it'll be. I can't see this one being even $150 to $180, but it's the one I'll want as a "centerpiece" type item in my collection.

$249.99. Ouch! But it's certainly an impressive figure with a lot of accessories and features. I have the ANH version, but I'm still not sure if I'm going to jump on this one for the preorder on Thursday.

All that light-up stuff, man... I want a center-piece Vader figure of sorts for my collection. This seems like a good way to go despite that price, but that price is very high.

I just couldn't resist and put in my preorder using the payment plan. I have Sideshow's ANH version and love it so I wasn't sure if I needed this too, but it just has so many impressive features that they convinced me to bite. Actually, my previous experience with the ANH one made it easier to bite the bullet because I know it'll be an amazing piece . This would easily become a centrepiece item, JJ. 8)

Is it me, or didn't Sideshow just do a TESB Vader last year? And now they're doing this ROTJ edition? And all the while, the Lords of the Sith sub-line STILL does not have a Darth Tyranus figure.

If I had a place for it or a Vader focus, I'd definitely grab one. I've been considering it and I don't even have a place to display it right now. :-\

I don't either but it lighting up basically sold me on it I think... if it didn't I'd probably have waited on it.
I'll probably build something into a TV/entertainment stand for it down the road a little bit. Have had an idea on that for a while too.

So 30 years behind everyone else it seems, my Vader showed up today...
Besides SS's absurdly slow shipping to me, the figure's outstanding. Which it should be since it was like $300. I think it's a great figure, but I am far from applauding the price because it's not exactly a deal... Some may find it even too much. I think the exclusive version with the helmet thingie is awesome though, and a great extra. It is a little display unto itself.
You get so much too, but the light-up features are what make this a centerpiece to a collection... A focal point for a room IMO. It's big, bad, and visually impressive. It's iconic (obviously). I think SS's prices are getting a tad goofy, but I think this works for what I wanted. I wanted a focal centerpiece. Something that stands apart. It does that and then some.
