The Legacy Collection / Re: Toyfare 2009 Fan's Choice Voting
« on: October 15, 2009, 11:45 AM »
In the end I voted on Cliegg.  I kind of doubt they are going to get to him...ever.  I think it might be an interesting figure if they give him removeable legs, hover chair, and maybe a clear post for the chair to "hover". But there are plenty on that list I want.

Yep, maybe someday we will get the DVD that actually has the CG Yoda inserted.  Still waiting on that big bad 6 DVD box set with all the fixings.

TV-9D9 / Re: The Clone Wars - Season Two Discussion Thread

I really liked the first few episodes of season 2.  I liked Bane at the end of last season but after the "Children of the Force" episode I freakin love the guy!  I was almost cheering when he escaped.  LOL!  I don't really analyze these shows at all.  I just sit back and try to enjoy them for what they are entertainment for kids and a commercial for toys.

I really wanted to go with my son but he's just not into the entire movie that much.  He likes Buzz but that is about it.  I know he would barely be able to make it through the first one let alone the 2nd.  Oh well  :'(

I still don't know who the vote for.  I would think Hasbro would just make several of these on their own like Tarkin, Evazan, Vimdin, Rebel Fleet Trooper, Sidious Duel, etc.  So, I may go for Cliegg Lars or Sim Aloo.  I'm going to be like Brett Farve and go back and forth on my vote for awhile.   ;D

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Clone Wars Wave 12 (aka 2010 Wave 2)
« on: October 15, 2009, 12:46 AM »
Yeah, Thi-sen kicks all sort of booty.  That will proably be my favorite Clone Wars figure for awhile.  I wish Anakin had his hood up.  The pinhead just looks goofy to me.  I like that they attempted to make Sidious.  I just don't care for how it turned out.  Mainly the lower body.  The clonetrooper is nice but I doubt I'll get it.  I am glad they made the Tactical Droid.  I don't really care for the lower body but I mainly just remember upper body shots from the cartoon.  Anyway, I think it's a nice wave.  Hopefully Kenobi turns out better than Anakin did.  I think Rex will come out sometime after the Legacy Snowtrooper Concept figure has had it's run at the retail stores.  They look practically the same.

Eh f-it it's the high price that is screwing the pooch for me at least.  Darn $8 a figure is a JOKE.  A dirty JOKE I tell you all.  Bring that price down a buck or two and watch the Legacy line gets it's precious "support".  Get those vehicle prices back to will ya H-bro or TRU or Target.  We are in a crappy recession for Christ's sake.  I can't afford $75 Gunships damnit and $45 AT-ST walkers are much better or even $50 Rancors.

Now bring on Willrow and Leesub to save the Legacy line!!!

I finally got the the check in the mail.  I hear that phrase a lot as a bill collector for a credit card company, but in this case it's actually true.  It actually is in the mail!  I even have the check number 2336..  Now let's just hope it is not lost ;)

Downfalls aside overall it's a fine looking figure and should be in all our collections.  If it just had a ball-jointed hips this figures would make us all proud to own it.  Go Kenobi you rock!  Yeah!

Yes, a bit lit right now  ;D

The Legacy Collection / Re: Beginning of the End?

Oh I am sure they will mainly be focusing upon the Clone Wars and upcoming TV show.  I am not sure if they will entirely get rid of doing figures from the 6 films though?  They can still draw upon a steady groupl of main characters/army builders.  I think the days of 30-50 OT/PT figures a year are done though.  It seems like most of the OT vehicles or other PT items other than 3 3/4 figures are strictly high-priced exclusives that only an adult could actually buy.

If it is the end or close to it we had a helluva run.   Maybe if Lucas ever actually puts the 6 films back out for a 3-D release then we may get back to seeing more OT on the shelves.  But I think it's just going to be aimed right at adult collectors until then with mostly main characters/recognizeable army builders etc in case some kids find them appealing.   Good thing Yarna and Willrow made it out when they did.

As much as it may be hard to believe kids are growing up with that cartoon show now and really don't pay much attention to the OT if at all.  In their eyes it's "old" and if I were a kid I'd proably feel the same way.  Heck my kid barely can name who Han and Luke or the Emperor are but he sure as hell knows who Anakin, Cad Bane, and Ahsoka are without any hesitation whatsover.  Maybe when he gets older he'll get into dad's old Star Wars stuff but probably nothing the way I or others have on here for 20-30 years or whatever it is.

The Legacy Collection / Re: 2009...Worst Year Ever?
« on: September 30, 2009, 02:17 AM »
I don't have much to say other than the merchandise overall is fine with me this year.  I just hate the inflated prices especially on certain exclusive items.  I am no distribution expert.  I have no idea how they send that stuff out, etc.  I live in a big metro area and seem to always find what I want to eventually.

I thought the worst year was back in the Saga days with the AOTC stuff/era.  I could find nothing new for liteally 9 months it seemed like.

I'll see it, but I'm not expecting much.

I think that would be a major help for fans and the public in general with any movie honestly.
