30th Anniversary Collection / Hasbro Figure Stands
« on: April 16, 2007, 06:07 PM »
From Hasbro:

"Finally --an official stand for all of your modern-era Star Wars figures!  You might be familiar with these stands already, as they are the same stands that were packed in the 2006 Star Wars Saga collection basic figures, featuring a movie name on each stand.

Each pack contains 40 stands broken out as follows:

6 Episode I: The Phantom Menace
6 Episode II: Attack of the Clones
7 Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
7 Episode IV: A New Hope
6 Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
6 Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
2 Expanded Universe

In addition, each set comes with a label sheet with 200 character names, which can be applied to the front of the stands.  The character list covers nearly every figure released in the Star Wars line from 2004 through the end of 2007, with multiples for the troopers.

The Battle Figure Stand packs will be available exclusively at Celebration IV and online at www.hasbrotoyshop.com, beginning May 24th."

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: Most Anticipated Figure So Far

Who are you looking forward to the most?

I am really, really looking forward to getting those EU Pit Droids in the Saga Legends line-up.

They have been on my needs list since 2000.  It will be really, really nice to finally cross them off my list...  :)

Maul was released in Canada and OUS (Australia) for sure, but not in the USA.

At this point, eBay is most likely the best bet... they pop up from $20-40 all the time if you hit a nice BIN price.

Single carded Galactic Heroes figures?  Has anyone heard anything about these?

From this week's Q&A -

3. Also from the recent news pile, pictures popped up this week of single carded Galactic Heroes figures. How and when will these be available? Summer conventions? Are they exclusives?

**These will be available through some of our non-mass-based retailers - Family Dollar and Big Lots. These figures will be 100% repack figures from prior 2-packs (no new deco), but figures who are not in the current Galactic Heroes lineup.

The next batch of answers is due this Friday (4/13), and I'm sure somebody out there must have asked about the availability of the Droids and just how exclusive they will be.

Looks like this is the standard Hasbro answer for the sites that asked about the droids in this week's Q&A session... and Hasbro threw a bit about Luke in there too, which is nice.

There are no plans to make the droids available other than at Celebration IV, right now at least (the same goes for the Europe version). Gencon (the group organizing Celebration), not Hasbro, is the actual retailer for this product, so Gencon is setting the strategy for its own exclusive. However, the McQuarrie Luke is a HasbroToyShop.com exclusive, so we have more control over that. If we do make it available online through HasbroToyShop.com, it won't be for some months after the Convention unless there is leftover Convention inventory.

No. 20: Benjamin

Awesome.  :)

I finally had time to watch the last episode (I was out on Wednesday night) - what a great episode!

I yelled at my TV, "I KNEW IT!" when they got to the end with Juliette and Ben.  I still think there is more going on there, but I knew she had to be there as a plant...  they did a nice job of building up sympathy for her so that they could tear it away again.

Makes me miss Darcy Wackaluk.

Darcy Wakaluk?   :o  There's a name I haven't heard in a long, long time...  I think I might still have a Wakaluk card in the basement:

I have heard some forecasts of 50oF for tomorrow and then maybe up into the sixties next week, so I think we are mostly out of the bad part of the April cold-snap.

(global warming my ass - it was colder here on Easter than Christmas  ::))
