I'll definately pick one of these up... he's got a removable helmet, a blaster built-into the pouch, the articulation is good, and he seems to be movie accurate.
He's basically Commander Bly with a new helmet, and added pouch, and no holsters, correct?

Put me down for 10 easy. Possibly more. Typically I find 30+ of each army builder figure in my area, definitely won't be a problem. Well, it'll be a problem stopping at just 10 ;)

It appears to be the ROTS Evolutions clone body, with the added pouch and new helmet. I guess time will tell.
I'll probably pick up a small four man team, maybe an 8 man squad of these guys.

I really like this figure. Now that he's been shown, I've decided to skip that Mace Windu set since the purple clones are rather silly, and I can just get the orange version in '07. I'm going to try to get three of these soldiers, since I am trying to get the exact number of troops seen on both the Utapau Trooper and Commander Cody cardback scenes for my Utapau Invasion Force.

I also skipping the Mace Battle Pack. I was only going to get it because of the Airbourne Clone, but now the right version is coming, so no rush on Mace Battle Pack, look for it in the Clearance aisle.

I hope to pick up a couple of these as well, and it looks like a pretty nice figure overall. I really liked the designs fo the various clones in ROTS, and it is actually pretty impressive how many different clonetroopers we've been getting since last year and now into next year. Good stuff.

I am also not that keen on the non movie clones. The Green are ok, they look very Utapau but the Blue stripe ones..zzzzzzzz. I will buy 1 of those just to have one.
The airbourne I will probally go for 2-3, very cool indeed. It would be great if he cam with a PVC dying clone trooper accessory to tend to.

Absolutely. Especially now that I know I don't have to buy these and repaint them. That Mace Battle Pack is retarded. A bunch of off-screen EU clones, the Parjai trooper (but the wrong color), and a Mace figure that is a bad likeness, wrong proportions, and about 1/2" too short.

Knowing this is coming out on a card has saved me a bit of money, as I now have no desire nor reason to pick up the Mace BP. It's not film accurate, and the purple just looks silly. I'm not hatin' on the Green and Blue Clones from the basic figure line, since they are based on conceptual art, but the Mace BP Clones just scream "The guy who used to run the GI Joe RAH line with all the repaints runs SW now!"
That said, I'll buy my one Utapau Airborne Trooper and be happy with that. :)

I agree with you on that... The armor was unique and really stood out. These guys I actually sort of missed in my first couple viewings of ROTS but after a while they popped out at me and just seemed intriguing looking compared to the regular troopers.
I love what Hasbro did with the sculpt too... The pack (if it comes with the basic trooper) with a pocket for the pistol, all the gear he seems to have... They're a unique figure amongst the sea of Clones we've gotten in all their various flavors.
Part of me wonders if this isn't also why there's some disappointment in the Kashyyyk BARC Trooper being a repaint and inaccurate sculpt. The unique look fo those troopers (even though they are still clones) was appealing I think to collectors... Getting away from the basic style armor.
I'll happily add many of these Airborne Clones to my troopers next year though. The one in the Mace pack looks amazing.

Does the 30 AC version come with a removable helmet?
I got 2 with the Mace BP's, repainted one of them, looked at the pic of the upcoming AC version and noticed some subtle helmet shape differences.
In the Mace BP version, the helmet looks narrower and longer top to bottom as seen here in my pic:

However, if you look at the Hasbro picture of the version coming in January, the helmet looks slightly shorter top to bottom and wider:

I realize that the rebreather in the 30 AC version has more black paint lateral to the black paint in the Mace BP version, maybe that contributes to the effect of a helmet shape difference?

Hey Dressel, keep in mind that its a removable helmet, so the shape could be squished either way. It kind of looks to me like the one in the official pic was squeezed front to back, while yours was squeezed side to side. I doubt they came up with a new sculpt for it, but I could be wrong.

Since I found 1 regular 212th trooper I might be able to find 1 of these to back up my 1 Cody. :D
Of course 1 Cody is all I want, but I want more troopers.

Well since my om works over night at target and stocks the toys she can get them for me earlier. If you want me to if you cant find them when they call out just let me know send me a list and when i find them ill send them to you just tell me if you have any trouble, same goes to every 1 here if you cant find anything let me know and ill see what i can do ;)
