Is it just me, or is it hard to focus on the background because you are simply watching the Millenium Falcon gracefully maneuver...something we have wanted to really see for a long time but the technology just wasn't there?

I didn't think that was a crack.  I thought it was blood dripping from somewhere.

I agree with the rest of your assessment.  Not a great episode.  I think the plot developments this week were all about who's hooking up with who.  Not super interesting to the members of this forum, but they gotta cater to their female viewers at some point.

I didn't totally negate the possibility that was blood.  My only thought was why would it matter if that was blood?  Who's was it going to be that we'd miss?

Did anyone see the cover of the book that Tera kicked across the floor to the new "doctor?"  It was blue and had gold embossed lettering that said "Gray's Anatomy."  Stupid ass show, but still pretty cool to see.

The sewer walkers were pretty cool though.

Overall, I thought this was a craptastic filler episode that didn't seem to drive the plot anywhere.  I get that the Alexandrians aren't familiar with having to fight to survive.  They whine about the whining, I get that.  It has grown old quickly.  There was virtually no plot development, to my knowledge, last night.  The only thing that seemed amiss, was the crack in the steel wall at the end.  I saw all the walkers banging on the fence and was thinking back to the prison when the walkers eventually pushed the fence down.

I don't see how skipping over Rick escaping from the horde was passed over completely.  They could have at least done something with that.

Oh well, on to next week and then I'm guessing the last episode of 2015 we will find out what really happened to Glenn.

I thought it was a pretty good episode.  I am a little irritated there was nothing from the Glen or Rick end, but I expected that.

With Morgan walking away from the cabin, I felt there was a little "hope."  I'm not sure how that will play out, especially with the Wolf who said he'd kill as soon as he got the chance.  But all in all, it was nice to have a little glimmer of sunshine, because we know this show does nothing but rip you apart.

Well, crap...
Exactly.  I feel like I just got kicked in the nuts and then they were set on fire.  Gonna be a long week or two waiting to find out...

Any thoughts on this past week and the upcoming season finale?

I was seriously agitated because my DVR stopped working Sunday so I had to wait to stream it.  AMC's streaming sucks!!  It skips all over the place.  I ended up finding it on ATT Demand so I watched the last half through that.

Anyway, I was and wasn't happy with this past week.  The stuff I think a lot of people wanted to see was completely skipped over (fall of the city, the deployment of soldiers, soldiers/people actually fighting, rioting, fall of law and order).  I think that hurt the series overall.  As for this past week, some eyes seem to be opening to the overall situation.  Again though, almost no zombies.  However, the acting still sucks so who knows how that will affect the finale.

A lot of stuff was missed I think.  So who knows how this will play into the season finale.  I can't say I'm really amped up to watch it, but I'm at least somewhat interested in what is going to happen.

Dear lord this show is slow.  Until the last few minutes of the show last night I've seen so little that really drives the plot of the show.  I certainly hope the next two episodes have some sort of excitement in store.

I've been bored with the plot, bored with the characters, and generally bored with the show.  Virtually no action last night?  Stupid decisions constantly being made?  No real character development?  I'll hang on, but like Diddly said, this show is very "hate watch" for me too.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Disney Star Wars Land
« on: February 7, 2015, 01:06 PM »
My wife and I are huge Disney fans and try to make a trip to DW every 2-3 years.  She has probably gone 25 times in her life as opposed to my 5 trips, and now we are bringing our daughter into the fold.   ;D

Anyway, I mentioned this article to her the other day and she didn't like the idea of an entire SW theme park.  As much as I'm a fan of SW, I am in the same boat.  I'd prefer they have a Star Wars land over at Hollywood and go that direction.  I know there is plenty of room at DW for an entirely new park, but I think the land within the park would be really cool.  It would also play in line with the theme at MK of having a themed land.

However, what doesn't seem to fit though is the actual "land" idea because Hollywood isn't set up like that.  Either way, I look forward to what they have coming.  I have no doubt it will be awesome when they are done.

Any thoughts on Darryl dragging his hand across the walker mouth?

I thought the last one ended Toy Story perfectly.

That said, me, my wife, and our daughter are huge fans of the movies so we are looking forward to see what the next movie holds.  I can't see it being bad considering how great the first three were.  I never felt there was any real drop off in quality among them.

I was thinking about this the other day.

In Season 4 when Darryl, Tyreese, Michonne, and Bob make the supply run looking for antibiotics for the chicken flu, they heard some sort of really quick broadcast on the radio.  We also see Terminus making a broadcast at the end of the season.  Does anybody think they were the ones on the radio that was picked up or is that just coincidence and doesn't matter in the overall plot?

I'd say Dr. Pepper, but it's not truly a regional drink.

We used to have Big Red and Red Rattler.  I still stumble across Big Red from time to time.  I believe Red Rattler died out in the 90s, but I loved it.  Both of them kind of taste like carbonated pink bubblegum.

Jesse you are right on about politics taking the brunt of the focus in school and not the battles.  In Texas, our US history is heavily on the documents, strengths/weaknesses of each side, and the major leaders.  The only battles we really teach are Lexington/Concord, Saratoga, and Yorktown.  And we teach nothing of tactics...at least we aren't expected to.  When I was teaching US history I always threw in a little tactical doctrine over the course of the war.

Anyway, I DVR'd Turn and plan to watch it in the next couple of days when I can find some time.
