I'm with you Cory, the Hellraiser series died after #3.  I wish someone would revive it with a real movie - the last 3 or 4 have been a joke.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Current/Future Video Game Systems - Opinions?
« on: September 5, 2006, 05:20 PM »
I've always valued the individual games over the systems... so for example, I bought a PS2 pretty much for King's Field and the handful of Resident Evil games I couldn't get anywhere else.

Maybe I'm a sucker that way, but it means that I'll end up probably getting all three - but I will say that I'm currently very turned off by the controller on the Wii - maybe it's not as dumb as it looks to me at the moment.

Anyways, I've played the 360 a few times, and I love it.  I'm getting one on Friday... I picked up Oblivion this week and am going to grab Call of Duty 2 and Madden this weekend.

Hmm.... I thought BFII wasn't as good as BFI - but I didn't realize it was this one guy's fault.

I wonder if they'll close the stingray petting pool at Sea World now.

My understanding is that all those rays are de-stingered in some fashion.  There would have been hundreds of incidents there by now if they weren't.

There was a sign saying "Don't Pet their tails"  ::)

It's been awhile since I was there, but I still could have sworn that the last time I was there some guide was telling us about how their stingers (barbs I guess...) had been removed and that they were harmless.

If they all had barbs they'd be getting shot out left and right with all that petting going on.

Brent, do you happen to know what the difference in percentage of gas cost can be attributed to taxes in Canada vs. in the U.S.?

I know that comparatively, the US still pays less than most places (it was about $4.20 per gallon once you do the math in New Zealand when I was there) but I wonder if it would be more or less skewed if you factor in non-market costs like taxes.

It's funny because I remember back when it was outrageously high at 1.50, I was wanting it to go back down to 1.00.

Then a few years later when it was at 2.00, I was thinking that I'd be thrilled if it just leveled off at 1.50.

Now that it sat at 3.00 for so long, we're excited about the possibilities of 2.00 gas.

That's how they **** you.  This whole thing is probably just designed to make a ton of money at 3.00 then keep making twice as much money as 8 years ago when it goes 'down' to 2.00 - and we'll be thrilled about it.

With LT on the clock, I'd need a 5 TD lead to keep Monday night from being interesting.

I bought the X-Wing, but I'm not touching the rest of these unless they're on clearance - and not the 10% off kind of clearance, more like the 75% off kind of clearance.

Well crap, that picture is proof positive of a 1400 yard, 14 TD season on the horizon for Stallworth and a return to Superbowl form for McNabb.

Well, today I learned that stingrays are dangerous.  I didn't know that tail of their's was so menacing, apparently they can accelerate it to projectile speed and plunge that barb into it's prey.  It usual does it as defense only.

I have a new respect for these critters:

See, they're not quite as wussy as they look.

I saw $2.43 yesterday.  Knock off another .75 or 1.00 then leave it that way and  I'll be happy.

I added 6 more over the last few weeks from various places - mostly wal-marts.  I'm up to 23 now.  I'll probably look to pick up two more now that I've made it this far.
