Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Greatest Album of All Time?
« on: August 10, 2005, 10:52 AM »
This is a tough one for me. While I think Sergent Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band and Dark Side of the Moon are arguabley the most important Albums of all time, I have to go with one of three that personally have changed my life in the way that I listen to and appreciate music.

And that winner is:

1- Dancing on a Volcano
2- Entangled
3- Squonk
4- Mad Man Moom
5- Robbery Assult and Battery
6- Ripples
7- A Trick of the Tail
8- Los Endos

The other two albums are:

V, by Spock's Beard and Head, by the Monkees

Right now, the UK version, which is just season 1, is available at Best Buy. Next month, the USA version, which is the Pilot and season 1, gets released everywhere.

The new Battlestar is outstanding! I can't say enough good things about the show. There are some episodes I still have not seen from the first season, so I can't wait for the America DVD release in September.

I just hope the Sci-Fi channel treats them well and keeps the show on the air for as long as it can be done.

Heard the sonic boom this morning! It woke me up. :P

If I had worked a little harder, I could have thrown the family in the car and watch it land.

Power of the Force 2 / Re: Wedge Gunner Station Prototype?
« on: August 8, 2005, 11:08 AM »

Kenner planned still two further Gunner stations, one of it was a x-Wing Fighter cockpit with a Wedge Antilles figure.  This occupied a Kenner/Wal*Mart product list for the year 1998.  The list is very precise in the data and can being found therefore than authentically. (huh?) There is not available pictures or further information to this product.

About the TIE Gunner station...

For the Gunner station Subline originally five different products were intended, but only three Gunner station appeared.  The TIE Fighter w/TIE pilot Gunner station was not produced, although she was specified in a product list for the year 1998.  It would be very easy to manufacture, because but the Darth Vader's TIE Fighter Gunner station could be easily modified.  There is no pictures or other information to this product.

I'm wondering now in retrospect if the Wedge Gunner station got far enough into development that the figure wound up being put in the 1999 Rebel Pilots Cinema Scene....

I had neve heard about these. Sounds like they would have been cool back then.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: EE Exclusive Astromech 5-Packs
« on: August 8, 2005, 10:48 AM »
Exactly! Sculpting is the most expensive part of the process. Painting costs as much as it does to pay an artist to paint up the figure, even if they spend one whole week per astromech, it's still dirt cheep.

The prices will always be based on the MSRP of an individual figure, no matter how cheep or expensive it is to make. And if it's an excusive, forget it, every retailer knows they can charge more just for the heck of it.

What kind of things do they due when they're stuck in space for another day? I know they fill nearly every second of their schedules with something to do, but what do they do durring plan B-type situations like this?

I can get over the helmet issue. since he is EPIV Vader, I am just going to give it a touch of Super Glue.

Thats the best part about the figure.  ;)

Nope, OTC had the battery pack. Or atleast, I'm pretty sure it did.

I just inspected the one I haven't opened yet. The OTC one does not have the battery compartment. ;)
