Funny gobs of Tantive IV rebel fleet troopers have appeared from China sellers recently. You army build these guys for $2 a figure, no guns (assume they have helmets, since the stock photo pictures them)....if only they were vintage RFT's.

Mosep for me, I think. Siince he was also the basis for Marvel's "Jabba the Hut".

Sgt. Doallyn a runner up...couldn't care less about his EU backstory...he was just a distinct Jabba goon that's  unmade (while they made Bane Malar?).

Then Solomohal or whatever his name is...

A black uniformed Imperial officer with good articulation...this somehow has not happened. Don't care which one, any one...

I forget that there's still not a good ESB Lando.  Cut elbows...blech.

I'm surprised there's not more desire for a good "Declaration of Empire" Palpatine...for a safe and secure collection!

But I'm not that big on Palpatine/Sidious.

Vote for the power mask demon.

I have no idea who half the announced characters are. Castle Grayskullman?  :o

Scissorhands guy? Not my pick.

I'll say that the average wave of vintage had more "gotta have it" figures than either of the announced Droid Factory waves.

I see getting Padme and Biker scout if it's actually new...which it don't look like. Maybe the Geonosian if they made a new head.

Wave 2, Mara Jade if she's good...uh...Biggs if he's good (not another Luke body). A-Wing pilot if its the Sullastan (or that old woman...haw!).

20 figures + 4 BADS, the only one on my wishlist is FA-4...

Price also has a lot to do with that. I like BAD's, but I think I completed like 2 during its original run. The rest were franken-droids.

Droid Factory 2013 / Re: Droid Factory returns for 2013!

I read that 3 of the 4 announced BAD's are do-overs...i'm cool with making CW droids into realistic ones and an r/c droid a regular toy, but that's a tad disappointing to hear. There's almost no shortage of unmade droids, even repaints, they could do.

Like these two from Clone Wars

Third attempt at a list, thank-you, wookiepedia, for locking up my web browser twice.

1. Yuzzum (Jabba Palace, not Joh Yowza...the original goofy prop one)

2. Sy Snootles (vintage puppet)
3. Sgt. Doallyn
4. AV-6R7
5. Vedain (Yotts is cooler, Vedain has a more important "role")
6. Taym Dren-Garen (ditto)
7. Rebel Crewman (At Home 1 Briefing, brown uniforms, ballcaps w/diamond logos, gear box on belt, etc.)*
8. Geezum
9. Ewok victory drummer with imperial helmet drums (that aren't glued to anything!)
10. Imperial Workers (?) in background of Emperor's Arrival (how vague is that?)

Also, every Ewok in this picture that hasn't been made yet:

*Too lazy to look up my alt choice, the guy who dresses like General Madine, but isn't him.

Will tiny Naboo creatures be inside?

The Vintage Collection / Re: Recent Vintage Collection Purchases
« on: July 13, 2012, 05:46 PM »
None were technically vintage but I got like 20 used, kid owned figures and a senate pod at a yard sale for $3. A few are missing hands/lower arms. Also, an old MASK figure and a dino rider human.

Included the imperial R4 unit and that hoth R5 with the black head. Sweet.

some kind came up after I was about done digging though the mess of toys on the ground and asked if I'd seen an R2-D2 and I gave him the light-up/sounds R2 I had set aside to buy. He'd do more with it than I would. (i have one anyone I got recently). I was just buying every Star Wars figure that wasn't galactic heroes because they were there.

Yard sale finds that good are rare. I passed up two mighty muggs, still in boxes, the other day for $2 each. Tarkin and hoth Han Solo, IIRC.

Hopefully. Wave 1 will be solid "new" figures, though.

Movie Heroes  or some equivalent has to be returning...there's some AOTC stuff in those BAD  waves, but they'll still milk it more. They'll want a basic phase 1 clone back on pegs, along with Jango Fett, Yoda, super battle droid, destroyer droid, Obi-Wan...

Also, reissued vehicles.

Lot more to reveal for 2013, even if it's not great stuff.

It'd be nice if those two packs each included a log.

I suppose you can make your own, though. (Not gonna make the joke I was gonna make...)

I was wondering if those packs were based on the obscure ROTJ sets with the speeder bike, imperials and ewoks....and they are...but with less stuff.

So will they go to their own store, buy up their own exclusives and resell their own exclusive at twice their own price?

 ;)

I can totally skip Jocasta Nu.

So what about that Yoda themed packaging...Movie Heroes?

Was droid factory the supposed new 3 3/4" segment?

Maul pack december release...yeesh...

Where's that dumb new vehicle construction line or did they wise up and #%$% can it before release?

New 12" figures....they love to waste tooling...what, someone saw Gentle Giant's 12" retro stuff had a following, so let's make prequel stuff like that for mass release.

With vintage going away, hopes for reissues of hard to find vintage releases go with them. No echo bases troopers for me!

I know people disliked the previous 212th Clone Trooper...but its toooo soon to even update him with the new mold.

The line-up for the first two waves leaves me underwhelmed. With vintage, out goeth the obscure...oh, well.
