If he were still alive, that would be one of the most perfect practical jokes ever perpetrated by mortal man. He actually commented quite often how he would fake his death and come back 20 years later (which the anniversary of was just a few weeks ago). Frankly, if it was a practical joke and he didn't really die, it is sheer genius in my book. But I'm also a big Kaufman fan.

They mentioned in the movie (and around the time of the movie) that he'd talked about faking his own death and coming back in 10 or 20 years. However.....he certainly wouldn't do it on some chump website. He'd do it on Letterman, Leno, 60 minutes, Nightline...etc, etc. He'd milk it for every ounce of publicity he could and there would be no escaping the media frenzy.

A Blog?  Come on. Andy had more class than that.  ;D
