Yes Darthshader, there is a reason that this season seems to have a lot more activity for Florida.
You see, the last 30 or so years have seen a lull in hurricane activity. However, the pattern is changing, and it looks like this season is going to be quite active.
So far, everything has gone according to the forcast that calls for 3-4 major storms. Not only that, the last 5 years have been very calm, contrast that with this year and I'm sure it would seem like there has been a HUGE spike in activity.
