Just as an FYI, when I checked the DPCI at Target last night (087-06-0846; Star Wars Droid Carrier), it was still listed at $129.99.  Granted $130 is probably still more than most of you are willing to spend, but at least it's less than $150-160 on-line is charging.

If I can find a nice 25-30% off sale at Target, I'll probably grab one then.  Otherwise I'll wait for the eventual 30-50% off clearance at Target before I pick one up.

I'm likely out on this one, barring a big clearance (which seems likely).  Just not too excited about it I guess.  In a way, I can see why it got chosen (with a TPM focus this year)...but personally, I've shifted more to OT-only with anything other than the basic figures, as space has just gotten too low for stuff like this.  If it hits some kind of ridiculous clearance price, I may bite, but I'll be playing the long game on this one.

It just seems like, aside from last year's Attack Shuttle, that most of these big vehicles have really been the "whoa, this is just an awesome toy and collectible", and this doesn't strike me as that.  The ones I have picked up (the Falcon, the AT-AT, and the AT-TE) are all pretty amazing in my eyes, and worth what I paid for each of them.  But, with display space and budgets getting tighter all the time I have to be more selective with the things I'm not super excited about like this.  Even the AT-TE, which is a great vehicle (and I got it during one of those $50 sales), just sits on the floor of our office because I don't have a way to display it any other way.

I have a feeling the Attack Shuttle was a bit of a dud for Hasbro, and this one seems to be heading that way too - and it is more expensive.  I hope that doesn't mean the end to big vehicles because of choices like this.  I still wouldn't mind seeing more new or redone vehicles from the OT eventually or along with the 3D releases if those still happen.  I'm wondering if next year's "big" items might lean more towards re-releases of things like Slave I or the AT-TE (if the AOTC release still happens).

Count me amongst the many who are passing on this until clearance.  I've gotten every "big" vehicle since they pretty much relaunched them with the AT-TE and Falcon at normal price upon release, but the MTT is just a case of asking too much for far too little.  I'd just assume they drop all the figures they currently have planned to include, include two repainted Vintage Battle Droids in the blue Pilot scheme, and drop the price by about 50 bucks, at least.  Sadly, I think that if this thing actually does make it to retail, it's going to be DOA in a way that Star Wars toys haven't been in a long time, if ever.

Of course, since pretty much everything past the TPM wave of vintage this year has been an online exclusive, the MTT being online-only wouldn't be much of a shock at all.  Even if it does get technically released at mass retail, there's no guarantee that it'll actually even show up anywhere.

There's been a lot of people at various forums suggesting that stores won't get these in, but I'm pretty sure we're going to see this as part of a reset coming here soon at most retailers.  It might tank at retail, but I don't see what's going to prevent it from being stocked.  It's not like it's part of an assortment that isn't selling that would prevent it from being ordered - that's why we see so much other stuff being available more online than in stores.

Those are pretty sweet pics Marduk...  I have to say I really like the rear compartment a lot, with the rifle racks and things.  Good detail in there.  Better than the AT-TE was.

Everytime I see new pics, I start thinking that I really do like this thing...  then I remember it's $130 and I start not liking it again.  :-\

I have to say I really like the rear

No surprise...  :-X
