Title: Star Wars Digital Release Commemorative Collection
Post by: Jeff on February 9, 2015, 01:07 PM
Star Wars Digital Release Commemorative Collection Revealed (https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10155195044035154.1073741852.236161160153&type=1) courtesy of Andrew's Toyz.

Repacks of 5POA figures in a plain white box?  Uh...  pass.

Anyone legitimately thinking about buying these?

Not I since 5 POA's not my thing...  I could, I guess, see kids digging getting a box of main guys from any of the movies I suppose, but yeah, nothing interesting about these really at all.

Nothing new for anyone really so nope. I do for some reason like the white box - kind of Hallmarky, kind of old Kenner mailer like, but really move along. Nothing to see here.

I actually almost thought they were Hallmark things when I first saw the pictures.  Weird.

I hope I can answer for everyone, everywhere -- No.

It's odd that they're so out front with these since I assume the proper reveal of the digital releases won't come until Celebration.

Are these to be sold in stores?  Or was that not really known yet?

I saw on Yakface's Twitter Feed that these are out...

Rush out to not get them now.

These sets are up for pre-order at Hasbro Toy Shop (http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/SearchResults.htm?SWD=digital) with a late April ship date.

Just $17.99 each, so if you use the Family2015 code (ends 3/20), you can get them for $14.39 each (plus tax) and free shipping.

Great deal... but still not worth it to most folks.  :-\

I mean... if I hadn't bought these yet, $17.99 with 20% off and free shipping would be a pretty solid deal.

I saw some of these at TRU this weekend.  At $19.99 per set I am just not interested.  Especially since they're all the 5 poa figures.

I saw them at TRU also yesterday and definitely as has been said, if you have these guys, and most of us do I think, then huge pass. Super cool if you don't, and if you caught the HTS deal. The poster art on the inside is kind of cool, but overall very blah.

These are apparently on sale at Target this week. I think the ad said $15.99 each. Good deal if you must have them.

I know everyone kinda made fun of these, but here's a pisser for ya...  They're sold out here locally at Target, and K-Mart has gone through 2 cases and on its 3rd, and I live in the middle of nowhere.

I think if you had a kid, and your kid wanted some mains in a box, this isn't as bad an idea as folks were thinking.  I think if you're us, it's lame.
