Right now I'm listening to some samples from this rocking band called Enter The Haggis, that I saw on PBS last year, and they are this celtic rock group, and they have a rock/classical vibe to them. It's pretty cool.

I think I'll pick up their newest disc soon.

I stopped listening to these guys around the time Adrian Smith left on guitar.  Were one of the metal highlights of the 80's. Little did I know Bruce Dickinson left the group a few years back.  Well Dickinson and Smith are back and they have a 3 guitar lineup.  Wasnt expecting much, but wow.  They sound great.

Gotta agree with everyone on the new Megadeth album as well.  Pretty good stuff.  Although Ellefson will be missed from the lineup.

****, Maiden has a new one out too? Back to Best Buy I go.
The last Maiden CD I picked up was Brave New World, around 2000.

Apparently, Megadeth's new one started out as a Mustaine solo effort, but now it's called a Megadeth record to satisfy Mustaine's publishers.
It's still good stuff though. :)

Technically its not really new.  I have just been out of the loop so long on alot of older bands I enjoyed in my younger years.  Finding myself drawn back to them.  If you are a Maiden fan, I really recommend Dance of Death.

On a side note, if anyone has access to the Maiden B-Sides or Soundhouse tapes, please drop me a line.  I would love to get copies.  I used to have  most of them on cassette, but most melted in my car back in the early 90's.

Haven't listened to it completely through yet, but I have heard songs on the radio the last couple weeks and liked what I heard.  And I'm hearing nothing but great reviews for this album.

I'll be stopping by Circuit City on the way home from work to pick it up for my wife (big U2 fan).  Only $8.99 if you buy it there today or tomorrow!

I picked up the Nirvana Box Set this morning even though its on my Christmas/Birthday list.  I'd rather return a duplicate than risk having to pay $12-$15 more when its not on sale.  Plus...this set looks amazing.

Oh my, this is good stuff! Straylight Run (featuring two of the original members of Taking Back Sunday) just released their new album today, and it's more than lived up to the hype that was building up for it. It's kind of a mix of TBS and a more mature sounding Something Corporate, and it's fantastic!

A rip of PJ's Oct. 5th 2004 show, since my BitTorrent decided to stop being a total pain in my ass.

Nobody's been rocking the Pantera in tribute to ol' Dimebag??

Yeah, me neither.

Right now I'm digging this:

I mean, I've had it for a while, and always thought it was awesome, but for some reason, for the past few weeks I've really been getting into it all over again. This is the best of their albums, but I've got them all and they are all great.

Actually, I have. Right now Official Live 101 Proof is playing on my pc, had Cowboys from Hell and Reinventing the Steel going earlier. With Vulgar Display of Power spinning in the car.

I've had Reinventing the Steel in the stereo since I heard, plus a Cowboys From Hell cassette in the car.
