Damn.  This doesn’t help my argument that what the line needs is more unique, new characters and fewer clones and repaints of core characters.

I see you point Rob, but neither of these figures are army builders.  I might have a bunch of each but that's just to put them in different displays.

I don't mind the occasional repaint clones (army builders are always welcome) and I love getting new, interesting alien figures.  I wish Hasbro could find a good balance between the two like we got in the 30 Anniversary or Legacy collections.

I think I've bought at least 3 or 4 of each of both Kuiil and the Mythrol.  And like Matt said, sometimes you want multiples for multiple displays.  So I might get one Kuiil for an Arvala 7 display, and another for the interior of the Razor Crest.

The difference is that with figures like these I might get 3 or 4.  But the number of VC140 Stormtroopers or the new Clone Wars version of the 501st Clone will have me buying 10 or more of each.

Hasbro needs to change how they do their purchase limits if they're going to have sales like this.  I was going to buy a pair of Battle Droids, Biker Scouts, and Hoth Rebel Soldiers to take advantage of the sale, but I can't because of purchase limits.

Like, they should reset those for sales, or have them expire X number of weeks after a product launches... something.

I hear that Rob and definitely agree. I wish I would have seen the sale early enough to get the Stormtrooper troop building sets before they sold out, that would have been a great deal.

I was irked by the limits too.  I skipped the Tantive iv cuz I’ve got a ton but I got some custom fodder and hoth rebels.  Hooray.

I was able to grab an extra of Nevarro Cantina and Tantive Hallway for $32 each.  I don't really need more of those but at that price, I couldn't resist.

Pulse must have gotten a TON of orders from that sale because it's 8 days later and my stuff still hasn't shipped...

This was an interesting ride. 

Instant pre-sale sellout.  A year later more appeared at full retail.  And then six months later the price is slashed.  We haven't seen this type of clearance in a long time as things are usually sold out and gone forever pretty quickly, especially exclusives.

It's not even FOMO anymore.  It's just path of least resistance.  If I can cross something off my list early, it's usually worth the extra cost to me now.
