Original Trilogy Collection / "Pride Display" Vintage-esque Diorama

Wow, this is very cool and has a lot of potential - what do you guys all think of these? Yeah they are expen$ive at $69.99 and available in May 2005 (five more scenes are planned, no figures included), but I have to say this is a step in the right direction!

Remember seeing a pic of this guy in an Insider a while back? Perhaps it was the issue with the Clonetrooper on the cover.

Anyways, has anyone heard anything about a figure being made? I thought this was a very cool design, and I hope we don't have to wait around forever to get a figure made. I remember it took until POTJ to get a Gungan Warrior figure, and at that time there were already 4-5 Jar Jar figures...

Thoughts? I think this guy looks great, and could also have awesome customizing potential...

Revenge of the Sith / ROTS Fleet Troops - A New Hope?

Just wondering. Since we are seeing the Tantive IV in EP3, will there be Fleet Troops aboard similar to the ones we see in ANH? If so, this could mean that they finally make a figure that has a removable helmet and a working holster.

They could possibly use the Fleet Trooper POTJ body, but update it with a new head and use the Antilles removable helmet, and give him a working holster as well. Add a little more realistic paint job, and this could be a very nice figure.

Thoughts??

...walk into Walmart tomorrow and find by a miracle, any 3 of the ROTS figures, which ones would you want to find? Say they would have 3 figures - one of each - and by some freak accident they showed up at your Walmart tomorrow. Which ones would you want to find, and why?

I'd go with -

Emperor Palpatine - just want a good all around Emperor figure, this one looks to have a lot of potential, and would look nice in my Death Star diorama

Mace Windu - since it seems like we've never gotten a good version of this character, this one could be great in my Arena diorama for the time being

Grievious' Bodyguard - this guy just looks tough, I could have him appear in one of my Rykfrof Enloe photonovels

What about you all?

Original Trilogy Collection / How many VOTC Stormtroopers are in your army?

So far, I have 12 - got 6 online, found a few in stores and my wife also picked a few up. It's a totally excellent figure, especially with a little black paint to touch up some needed areas on the mask.

How about you all?

This is ridiculous... is this not the hardest SAGA figure to find? I look around to get a couple (luckily I have 2 of them already) online, and they are all sold out or people are wanting $40-$50 each for them....

Why doesn't Hasbro re-release this in some manner?

Think they'll finally make this thing for the EP3 line? I'm pretty sure they show up in the Kashyyyk battle.

How much would you pay for one? I'd easily pay $60 if it was somwhat close to scale.

Why in the heck is every TRU in the world getting in a ton of OTC vehicles (Vader's TIE, X-Wing, TIE Fighter) but is seems like none of them are getting in the basic figures?

Oh great. Now the pics that were posted of the VOTC Stormtrooper look freaking awesome. They seem to have adjusted the helmet to more closely resemble the CT version. Guess I am going to have to get several of these now!

I still think the CT version is great, and will blend in rather well with this new one.

What does everyone else think about this figure? Doesn't it look unreal? Man oh man, I want an army of these now!

Original Trilogy Collection / Luke's Poncho

After looking at the upcoming Jedi Force Payskool line (which looks pretty darn cool), I am very impressed with the poncho they have on the Endor Luke. This looks to me to be superior to anything they have done with the 3-3/4" line. Anyone else think so? I'd like to have several of these ponchos for my Endor rebel army. Thoughts?
