Yep... nothing like heavy artillery, machetes, bow and arrows, and a good ol' fashion, bare handed tracheotomy. Geez I almost forget he has God on his side too  :P

JR looks choice. Love it when he hops in the Jeep's turret and fires away at the driver from point blank range. Nice  ;)

Anyone see The Last Mimzy?  I'm intrigued as it has an Explorers type vibe to it for some reason and that was one of my favorite movies as a youth

Is two months later too late to respond?  I took my daughter (7) to the cheap theater yesterday to see the movie.  It wasn't awful and she really enjoyed it a lot.  It struck me that it would really resonate with that 6-12 crowd.  These days much older than that and they'd be disappointed by the lack of violence.

Saw Live Free or Die Hard last night. It's definitely good enough to recommend, but still a far cry from the original.

Seen it last night too, Anthony. I really liked it alot- My opinion is that it was as good as the first/definately better than the last 2. Good plot, acting, special effects, stunts-proper length. I'd recommend it certainly. My dad of course tried to sway me (he didn't see it) afterwards saying the lead actor is anti-US/anti-military/war-and so, why did I see it. So, I told him that's most of hollywood right now AND the US according to polls. Actors are acting to make a film- and that's all it is-a film-which is why I see it.

The Plot: certainly a believable scenario that could happen- especially when you consider all the cyber warfare the Chinese are succeeding in obtaining info from us now as it is.

Ratatouille - one of the better movies this year that no one is going to see...

It was a rather good picture. I enjoyed it, at least (though, I suppose, I am somewhat taken with Pixar. They've really yet to disappoint me, Finding Nemo aside.)

Oh! The other films ...

Evan Almighty: An Environmental-Trotskyist front! Amusing at times, but the not-so-subtle political undertones and assertions really killed it for me.  :-X

That David Pearl Movie Which I've Forgotten The Name Of: I enjoyed the secondary and tertiary characters much more so than Jolie and whomsoever portrayed Mr Pearl. I thought that it lacked shot continuity, but am guessing that was purposeful. Not so bad, but a little too long. If'n you're into journalism, current events, or an indictment of General Mushareff's increasingly pre-'79-Iran-looking Pakistan, then you mayhaps should consider viewing it.

Beyond the Valley of the Dolls: Amazing and uproarious.
