Title: Hoth Han (Blue) Review
Post by: Angry Ewok on July 4, 2003, 03:29 AM
Yea, so, I've got the blue version, but I'll get the brown, too.

Appearance -
The legs are a bit wide, but I guess I can live with it. The face don't look much like Ford, but it's close. Coat has gloss paint, and no "snow" deco, which is a real bummer. Not bad, though.
8/10

Articluation -
9 points including wrist and elbows, very good. I'm happy. Unfortunately the lame ass crap-tAction feature cuts the waist articluation out.
8/10

Pose-ability -
No knees, but thanks to the elbow/wrist articulation, you can post him a bit. Pretty good.
8/10

Accessory -
A mask, pistol, lightsaber, and radio - good stuff.
10/10

Overall -
Even though the legs suck, this figure's pretty cool.
8/10

I've got to agree with your review.  The most disappointing thing (once you get past the Action Feature) is the Stance.

Pros:

He comes with the best version of his blaster we have seen so far(if it is not Identical it is very close to the Endor Raid one)

I like the Hood Up (very Vintage)

The wrists and Elbows allow him to hold an Imperial Blaster in a "Hip-Shooting" fasion.

The Boots are well done

Cons:

THE STANCE

When the mask comes off, so does the brim of his cap..whats that for???

Lack of Leg Articulation (this could be a subset of Stance)

Much like Endor Raid Han, it was a figure that I highly Anticipated and one that disappointed  me a bit.(Endor Han did ALOT)

Everything about this figure is outstanding!  The detail is incredibly well done.  It's definitely one of the best Han Solo figures ever made IMO.  Here's a link to a picture I took of him...

This Han Solo has got to be the best sculpt done on him.  He's loaded with accessories... Luke Skywalker's lightsaber, blaster pistol that sits snuggly in his holster, face mask, and the homing device used to locate Luke.  Everything about this figure is awesome!

Rating = A

Check out pictures of him here (http://www.chrisrhoads.com/starwars/hansolo_hothrescue.htm).
