Those kinda stands Matt posted are nice and real sturdy.  There’s a sort of gummy ball on the end of the posts to prevent them slipping.  They’ve been around in modeling for years, though I only ever saw them online from Japan.  They’re neat.  Have one for snowspeeder and like it.
