Kubricks / Series 2

I agree with JediMAC about how Kubrick should focus on the movies first and foremost for the next couple of series. In fact I don’t want to see non-movie series to merge with the current line (unless they’re chase figs). If they want to start an animated series, it’ll keep everyone happy if they do it as a separate line.

Nice pics Padawan. Love the MGS2 set! I like how they include the status/reaction mark on the Russian guards.

Padawan those T3 sets sure are cool, I haven't seen them before. Ooh the R2 cardback looks great! I'm still not interested in getting one though (like I could get one anyway :-\). Thanks for the pics guys.

Sorry, but I refuse to accept the other band member as a chase piece.  It's the same figure with a different instrument.  Not worth the effort or so sayeth the incompleteist. :-*

Me neither, but I did get the other one just for the sake of the instruments (and gave away the figure). There are 6 different instruments in total.

$35-$40? Wow not bad. Was the Early Bird set originally around at that price too?

buffet1fan, $70 doesn’t seem that bad, considering they might go up to $100+ later. At the same time it’s best to wait and hunt on eBay upon its release date for a chance to luck out on a good deal….. Hard to gamble isn’t it. :-\

Simon, if you could squeeze in a couple more guys in your list for that Endor set (and maybe the Early Bird), please put me down for one. You probably don’t remember me, but I was one of your series 1 customer from down under. Thanks again for the Dexter Pepsi bottle cap ;D

Ooh another new Early Bird owner! Congrats, scrubs! How much did that set end up with?

I did see the Early Bird set back in the time when it was US$90ish, but I kept delaying as I went for the series 1 case first. Stupid me. What's the price for the Endor set going to be, does anyone know?

BTW check out: http://search.ebay.com.au/search/search.dll?GetResult&basicsearch=&from=R10&ht=1&saavailabletosite=15&satitle=star+wars+kubrick&sosortproperty=1&sorecordstoskip=50
Scroll down and see the auction with Carded Fett pictured. I nearly had a heart attact. That is so misleading.

Nice score, Padawan! I don't think that set will get any lower unless the interests drop, which is unlikely. Do post us a picture as well as the Terminator sets. Now am I the only one here without the Early Bird set? :'(

Thanks JediMAC! Yeah I notice Kubrick discussion is pretty heated up over here. I did come and read once in a while so I am kind of following what’s been happening lately =)

As for Kubrick, SW is the only one I’m into. I have complete series 1 and series 2 except for the two Boba variants. S3 still holds a complete mystery to me. They could pick any episode/theme so the possibilities are heaps! But I’m guessing it would be ROTJ. Jabba, Death Star II Battle or Endor. They might mix DSII with Endor!

Oh yeah, and congratulation about the carded Fett, Adam. So “my friend, you bow to no one.” [Bows to BDW]

Hehe OCB, I’m taking you are into design? With the Barbie outfits and Bearbricks graphics? No worries, I can understand that.

Hi OCB, BDW and DSJ. Thanks so much for the welcome guys! Glad to see some familiar names in here. This forum feels like home already!

Yeah DSJ, what I really find bizarre is the way your Indy case was assorted. Because I was under the assumption that Indy case wouldn’t be packed like the non-Indy case hence how retailers are able to know which case contains Indy. Oh well.

Thanks Padawan :). Oh yeah, I remember posting that. Before opening it, I sensed an Indy in that case because of the way the Hans were packed. Usually I see them packed in the middle column, top 3 row in the non-Indy case. But I think someone here did get an Indy from a case that was packed in non-Indy pattern...

Hi. A new poster here. I've given up hope for a decent Kubrick discussion over at Rebelscum, so I thought I'd just migrate over here ;D
