New Force hasn't listed the Clone Busts yet... they say they will have them (and some other stuff) up this weekend.

"New Presells : Star Wars
February 22, 2006 | 9:37 PM
We will be adding sets and cases of the New Vintage (VOTC) wave to our 3 3/4" cat. We will also be adding new mini busts: the Clone Trooper cases, and the Qui-Gon Jinn."

I'm watching for the vTSC stuff to go up, I'll let you know if I see those pre-orders for the Clones go up...

Yeah, but are they just doing the cases?  I ask because I've no doubt I can unload the 501st, but what to do with the other two white clones?

BBTS has a set of three for $164 or so and that's really tempting.  But I've seen the cases of 6 for $265 or so.  $100 more for three more busts?  Hmmm.

And that wasn't a shot at you guys in particular Jeff, no knock on JD intended.  Just a comment about the general lack of GG collectors here.  It's as much my fault, I should have been watching as well.

Looks like EE's big reveal may not be as exciting as previously thought...

A few folks are saying that they received the newest EE Catalog in the mail today.  In the new Catalog it shows, yep - an exclusive "Crispy Anakin Head" Vader Mini-Bust.

Catalog #GE8969
Price = $49.99
Limited to 5,000 pieces

Catalog Number doesn't seem to work on their site yet though.  I sent an e-mail to EE customer service to see what they say...  ;)

I'm curious on how crispy Anakin will look.

Brent as far as the clone busts being sold out I think GG did this so they don't make the same mistake like they did with the new Vader and Yoda.  I think GG is being cautious in taking preorders and from that they'll determine the edition size.

Jay,
Yeah, no doubt you're correct.  They're pretty much gauging response and thus far I'd say it's resounding.  But as is typical, guys are ordering multiples with $$ in their eyes, seeing blue AOTC clone busts everywhere.  This time around that's the Utapau bust.  What baffles me is why GG, like MR with the helmets, thinks that they should massively produce grunts, be it a helmet or a bust.

I just hate being late.  I'd have liked to have been in early on the SWS.com order, wrapping up the Utapua and 501st and then not have to worry about it.  Plus I suspect the white busts will be running like the Vader/Yoda busts at a pretty low price, so why pony up the $49 or $55 up front.

I expect I'll just be ordering the three pack and swallow my pride.  I'll get them from Newforce if they put them up.  I just don't want to have to buy a case of six ::)

Then I can just start worring about the shock trooper and Mara Jade ::)

As for the Anakin bust, yep, have to wait and see.  It fits with my Imperial strategy but it still has to be interesting enough.  We really only see crispy Anakin in a prone position, either on Mustafar or on an operating table, so how that translates into a bust could be interesting.

Nope, I did not.  That's the second time they've raised the price in the last couple of days.  I think if Newforce doesn't do the three pack, I'll probably just swallow it up and order the case.  After all, if they're going to keep making the margin smaller, why not.

As much as I'm a Vader freak, I'm not too excited by this.  :-\

That Japanese piece has my attention though.  ;)
