The paint on the Stormie is sloppy, which is funny given everything, and I don't like the holster...  It's "ok" but sort of a half-assed attempt.

I totally agree with you about the holster.  It's lame.  And the paint job problem is really unforgivable.  I mean, how hard is it to apply a few black paint apps to an all-white figure?

Beyond that, Fett's neck is odd...  He's still, hands down, the best Fett ever.  The right custom work and you could have a great removable helmet one that looks flawless to boot.

Scroobaca (from RS) posted a pic of an incredible-looking 'ESB' Fett which used the VOTC Fett body.  Awesome.  I still have a few grudges with the figure, mainly with his brick-shaped wrist gadgets (particularly his left wrist gadget).  His neck is odd and the helmet antenna is too short.  His outfit is a bit too washed out and could use more blue in it.  However, the sculpt is top-notch.

Yeah, Target is the place to be.  The ROTJ wave is by far my favorite VOTC assortment.

On Sunday morning, I found the VOTC ROTJ wave at Target.  I picked up Chewie, Fett, Lando, and 1 Stormtrooper.  I would've picked up another Stormtrooper had the paint jobs not been so piss-poor.  As luck would have it, I found the ROTJ wave again this morning at yet another Target and snagged another Stormie.  I'm pretty happy.   :D

My wife, not so much.   :-[

Han's coat was brown and Han's holster and holster straps were really blue.

I took a trip to El Paso last week and finally scored my mantissa mantis.  All the K-Marts closed here in San Antonio.  Kitik is great and so is the Doc.  Big improvement (IMO).  Wuher, on the other hand, sucks.

Ebay is my best friend for running shoes now.  Someone is always selling something.  Fortunately, ASICS remains amazingly consistent in both product and sizing with the Gel 10XX series.  I've been wearing them since they were Gel 101, now at Gel 1090, about 12 years of the same shoe.  Retails up here for the absurd price of $119 CAD (plus 14% tax).  US retail is around $70, can usually find them for around $50 on sale, but ebay I usually get them, brand new for $35 plus the shipping, so save about $5 US over a sale price.  About half price versus Canadian retail, actually a little better ::)

Not bad.  Actually, I searched eBay before I hit the retail stores.  One seller had the exact pair I was looking for.....in a size 8.  I wear a size 10.   :-[

I bought my 3rd pair of New Balance shoes (M603AT) this last weekend.  I've gotten back into a fitness/health kick recently so I needed a good pair of running shoes.

More GNT bashing.  How surprising.  Not that I would invite GNT over for dinner or anything, but really, hasn't the whole GNT-bashing trend evolved into an obssession?  I know it's "cool" to bash GNT over here at Jedi Basher Jedi Defender, but seriously, isn't it getting old?

I have to admit that I like both the commercial AND the song (which, btw, is "We Like To Party" by the Vengaboys).  I find the dancing "old" coot amusing.

Flame away!

Also, I'd MUCH rather have the fancy ankle joint (the reason there is no peg hole)  that the peg hole!

And now that we have VOTC, we know that's just a myth.   :)

You can have a fancy ankle joint AND a peg hole.
