41 out of 43.  I gave up with 4 minutes left.  And I cannot believe I forgot Grant.  I've been to the man's tomb, for pete's sake!  The only other one I forgot was Van Buren.

Really?  Then it's no surprise that it was delayed from last year.  But this delay is somewhat offputting.

But I guess you have to expect this to an extent when you're trying to launch these kinds of multi-media campaigns.  I remember last year at Toy Fair we were shown a preview of the Transformers video game, and that looked like it was nowhere near ready to go.  And that was in February, and they still had to get that game out in time for the movie release in July.

When is Toyfare?

Toyfare magazine appears on newsstands every month.

Now if you're talking about the NY International Toy Fair, that happens in mid February.

Well, I think LucasArts is committed to an '08 release for the game.  They have two licensees that are ready to ship related product now.  LEGO already has the Rogue Shadow ship out on shelves.

If this delay is tied in with a platform specific delay, then that's a real head scratcher.  Sure, the Wii would be a very cool platform to play this title on, especially with the dynamics of the controller and it's possible use for a lightsaber.  But I think there are more people who own the PS-3 and X-BOX 360 who are just as eager to get the game.  Release the Wii version when it's ready, but get this game to market already.

The sets look good.  Not crazy about the paintjob on Sev, but Tsui Choi and Palpatine more than make up for that!

The biggest tell on that figure mold would be the boots.  I can't see the one that's exposed clearly enough to tell from this image.  The CW figure's boots go up a bit higher, like there's some kind of knee padding.

This Obi-Wan definitely has different paint apps than the Clone Wars figure.  The under-tunic on this one is brown, whereas the CW version is a light tan/white.

I must have spent half an hour almost drooling over that Falcon set at Toy Fair last year.  OMG, it is FANTASTIC!  As it should be for costing over $2,000, and weighing over 200 pounds.

The V-19's THE Clone Wars vehicle I've wished for...  I'm wondering though, is there a shuttle variant in the new toon that warrants the name change?  Or is that just a miscommunication, and it's the fighter?  I'm hopeful for the fighter...  It's such a neat design, I'd hate to see it overlooked.

I think you might be overthinking the situation.  I can't say that I expect a whole lot of valuable or completely accurate info to be in the WalMart computer system.  They're probably only calling it a shuttle because the wing configuration is *somewhat* similar to the Imperial Shuttle.  The V-19 is almost certainly the fighter, and it's a Clone Wars vehicle.  We saw it in the original animated series and it's in the Clone Wars sneak peek on the official site.

The only shuttle-like vehicle that I've seen near Clone Wars is that B-Wing-like ship that Anakin flies in the trailer.  And that looks like it would be bigger than something that might fit in the assault vehicles line.

Other Collectibles / Re: Gentle Giant Statues
« on: January 13, 2008, 08:43 PM »
I saw the kneeling Vader in person a few days ago.  It's very impressive to look at.  But the shop that was selling it wanted $199 for it.  And I want a better deal on it than that.

I think the market's getting soft on GG product.  I think the market has gotten somewhat saturated with A LOT of statues from almost as many companies.  I think collectors can only take on so much.  I think the end result is that there might be some more bargains to be found.  And just one example of a Premier Guild exclusive that hasn't sold out has stuck in my mind:  the Senate Guard statue was still available on the Gentle Giant site the last time I checked.  And that was less than a week ago.

Wow, people see the Falcon on a UK order sheet and all of a sudden we're talking about a ship that's double the price?  Wow.  I think some rumor control might be in order.  But I doubt Hasbro will handle this particular hot potato in the Q&A's before Toy Fair.

I don't think the Falcon will be $300 in the US.  The price is currently in the Target computer system, and it's set at $150.  The UK pricing of 150 GB pounds might just be a case of our friends in the UK getting hosed, or Hasbro trying to cash in on the weak dollar by setting what seems to be a high price in Britain.

Nahhh.  It leaves some excitement for the remainder of the year.  I'd like to be surprised on occassion.

That definitely lends some creedence to the earlier reports we saw of these Evolutions sets.  And there had been mention of the V-19 previously as well.  The Spider Droid invariably has to be the Homing Spider Droid, if it's indeed part of a vehicle assortment.
