I ordered 3 so far and all of the checks were cashed in the last week, so hopefully that's a sign they're on the way soon!

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: TRU Exclusive Clone Commander Ponds

I found these from a guy on RS for $8 each, so I caved.  They showed up today and look pretty nice - I like the little exclusive foil on the card.

Yeah, 200,000 is actually not a lot so no wonder I've never seen one of these coupons, haha.  I don't know anyone else locally who has either.  I can just see these at shows with the coupon though, going for $30 because of the "rarity" or something.

I wonder how well these are being distributed across the country as at any given day, I can go to Target, WM or TRU and all of the CW figures (15-20+) have them.

I've yet to see them at Wally World and I haven't been to TRU in forever, but they're around at pretty much every Target.  Too bad I can never find them on the figs I'm waiting to open (Yoda, $A-7, Jawas, ARF, Space Obi, Echo, etc.).  Mostly I've just seen them on the repacks and the Cad Bane wave.

Looks to me like the best $39.99 item Hasbro has ever made.  I'm all about a small army of these.

Well, that's not saying much, but $40 feels about right for this.  I'll probably pick one up if I can find it.

Let's see... 200,000 coupons = $1,000,000.00 in savings  :o

Now if only I could get all of them - I'd be rich!   ;)  This reminds me of the $5 Target internet coupon that floated around a year or two back.  I know there were fraud issues, but I think a lot of us that used them for toys end up buying more than they would have otherwise.  I know I bought extra figs if I was below the coupon threshold just to get the $5 back.

I hope the program works well for Hasbro and they continue it.  I broke down an bought a $100 Turbo Tank because I had a $5 coupon to burn, so hopefully it helps sell thru some bigger ticket items that would normally have sat longer.

That said, I'm a little concerned that the stacking option on these isn't going to drive as much incremental volume as they hope.  Sure, you need to spend $20, but if you do, you can use three coupons (verified at Wal-Mart and Target), so you're potentially getting three figs for under $10.  Assuming you can track down all of the CW figs you want and they all have coupons, you can get the last 2-3 waves for next to nothing using this program.

JD Sports Forum! / Re: NFL Offseason 2009

I'm fine with 2 years.  There's no reason not to have it registered - he has money to pay people to take care of paperwork, so that's just dumb.  The bullet almost hit someone else, so we write that off, but what if his bullet did hit and maim or kill someone?  In that case, 2 years would seem pretty light.  His actions would have been no different, but the outcome would have been more severe - should we give him more or less jail time based on random chance?   ???

As for Vick, he definitely should have gotten more jail time and a permanent suspension from NFL.

Looks pretty awesome to me.  The choppers and exo-suits are amazing.  It does look a little predictable, but I'll give it a shot.

See, I am the exact opposite.  I always wait for the paperbacks, so I'm a good 6-12 months behind on most novels.   :-\  Without giving anything away from the plot, how would you compare this to the New Jedi Order or Legacy of the Force books?

Okay, so I'm in the midst of the 2nd Darth Bane book right now and am ticked off.  There is a bit character in the story who happens to be Chiss (Blue Skin, Red Eyes - Thrawn's species).  Anyone who paid attention to Outbound Flight ought to be mighty ticked at this.

Here's why:

- Over 1,000 years before the fall of the Republic, a Chiss woman just so happens to be part of a terrorist organization (against the Republic) that has been infiltrated by Bane's apprentice

- Fast Forward 1,000 years to Outbound Flight.  Thrawn meets citizens of the Republic for the first time and the writer makes a big point of showing how the Chiss people were totally unaware of the republic and how no one in the Republic knew anything about the Chiss race.

I get the idea of throwing out various different species in the novels to mix things up, but this is a pretty large and pointless plot hole in my opinion.  It's particularly frustrating given that Rule of Two was only written a year or two after Outbound Flight - it's not like this is some really old novel from 15 years ago that the writer just missed or forgot about.   >:(

Just added a Vader/Luke chase and old Anakin chase to my collection. Unlike the Tarkin I got a while back I had them out of their bags and into the JL case quick smart :P

Nice additions!  Was this a result of the Bay or some other resource?  Any new pics on the way?  Congrats!
