All right; this is Rykrof Enloe when we first met him, during the events of The Phantom Menace:

Here is Rykrof roughly ten years later during the Clone Wars. Note that the turmoil in the galaxy has kept our hero from updating his do. He wears his hair in the same, parted in the middle style that he did 10 years before:

Here is Rykrof in roughly the first year of the Clone Wars. Although he is sporting a rugged, manly beard, he still clings to the hairstyle of his youth. Time is passing him by. Although his beloved Alyssa loves him deeply, she wishes he would update his look. Oh yeah...and that the war would end, probably.

Here is Rykrof flung 24 years in the future, during the invasion of Hoth. Older, yes...grayer...still sporting his Van-**** and, I'll wager, still parting his hair down the middle.

THE CHALLENGE IS THIS:

Obtain a Rykrof Enloe head. With whatever meager materials you have at your disposal, sculpt Rykrof a new hairstyle...something that takes this poor hero out of the BBY's and will take him into the ABY's and beyond. We will cast the three best heads and send them to Chewie, so that he might have a variety of looks for our intepid hero.

Mowhawk? Buzzcut? The "Rachel" from "Friends?" It's all up to you...but please...this man has had the same hairstyle for over a decade, and it's time for EXTREME GALACTIC MAKEOVER!!!

Star Wars Action Figures / Best...Revan...EVER.
« on: March 14, 2006, 03:54 AM »
Check out this work of art:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2476&item=6040289297

I am simply blown away here. Words really fail me. I had started a Revan custom, but I think after seeing this it's back to the drawing board!  :o

Why, aeseven? Why do you not share these works of art with us, your customizing family, in your own thread? Why must we find them while wandering the streets like some filthy, cycloptic vagrant with a stick in our one good eye?  ;D

Star Wars Dioramas and Displays / Death Star custom project
« on: January 19, 2006, 01:14 AM »
A friend of mine is getting rid of all his Star Wars toys, and he was kind enough to hook me up with two boxes full of Death Star Parts. I went through them at home and came up with two basically complete Death Stars.

Ignore the kitty in the background.   :P

I also had three trash compactors, and these parts left over.

Now, once I clean these up, and maybe hit them with a coating of aircraft grey, I want to start customizing a modular Death Star playset...so I thought to myself, what better tact to take than to open up the floor to suggestions from my fellow customizers?

So what do you guys think? What would be the best direction to go with these sets? What should be added? What should be taken away? Should I make the Death Star from ROTJ as opposed to ANH? Should I make it a different playset altogether?

I look forward to hearing what you guys (and gals...can't forget Ripley and Findswoman) would do to these.

Like a lot of us, I've been watching the hurricane devastation in New Orleans, and have donated what I could to help the people of Louisiana.  However, I was thinking today (a dangerous pasttime, I know) that we have a hurricane victim right here in our little customizing community...our own Darth Ennis.

So what occurred to me is, what if we each made a custom figure and auctioned it on E-Bay, the proceeds of which we would then donate to Darth Ennis to help him and his family in the long road to recovery?

It might not seem like much, but with all the talented customizers we have here, we should be able to raise at least a few hundred dollars. I've not sold much on E-Bay, but AEseven's work alone usually nets over $100...imagine if we ALL participated? Every little bit helps, and we'd be helping one of our own.

What do you guys think?

Photonovels and Movies / Two things...
« on: May 16, 2005, 10:26 PM »
One: I am SERIOUSLY in need of a new installment in the Rykrof Enloe saga. I want chapter 11 and I mean to get it...however, I could PROBABLY be staved off for a week or so by another SE.  :P

Two: Has anyone checked Lance Quazar's house for his moldering corpse? Where's he been, man? The site isn't the same without his interactive photonovel goodness!

Modern Trading / Holo Yoda for trade
« on: April 14, 2005, 10:24 PM »
I've got a Holo Yoda I'd be willing to trade for Clone Commander's...

This took about a half hour to do, not including dry time.

I've got him pictured with a Grievous bodyguard staff here, because I didn't want to fish out my old Kir Kanos. (Which will be recycled soon, probably into a Gand.)

Whatta ya think?
