For the last couple of years we ran an informal poll with your 10 most wanted characters from the current Star Wars Films. Continuing the tradition and trying to finish up before Comic Con 2007, I thought it would be a good time to revisit those lists. Here's how it works: You send your Wish List for 10 3 3/4" Figures to me or post them here, be it new figures, resculpts or even re-releases and I'll tally the votes. After four weeks of list taking I'll publish the results and we will move on to the next movie. The Original Star Wars, to most people, Episode IV: A New Hope is now up. Here's my updated list:
1. General Tagge - Finally given to us in the Death Star Briefing set.
Uncle Owen resculpt. Time to give this man his due.
2. Colonel Yularen - Done.
Dr. Evazan resculpt. The previous version was terrible (and even worse when retooled with it's awkward bending knees. Either resculpt it Hasbro or don't waste our freakin' time).
3. CZ-3 - CZ-4 will do just fine for my Tatooine display.
Ponda Baba resculpt. Hasbro, the 2006 version of Momaw Nadon (Hammerhead) was nice with it's improved sculpt and paint, but let's so you do even better with Walrusman by improving his incredibly limited articulation as well.
4. Tonnika Sisters - The cantina is still one of my favourite scenes of all time, so I'd love to see these "essential" background characters.
5. Bom Vimdin - Same as above.
6. Red Leader - Just use the Gold Leader (Dutch Vander) body since they're both quite tall and give him a new head and I'm happy.
7. SA Rebel Trooper - SA. Nothing less.
8. SA Death Star Gunner - 2006.
Wioslea - more background goodness for the Cantina.
9. SA Luke Stormtrooper - I guess the Comic Packs will do.
Silver Death Star Droid.
10. SA Han Stormtrooper - I guess the Comic Packs will do.
Saurin - either one is fine.

I'm pretty happy, We're getting the figure that was tops on my list, the Imperial Trooper, and a good version of him too.

Well, if we'd get some nice repaints of the comic pack Luke and Han Stormtroopers, that would be fine with me, so I guess I'll leave them off of the list. I wish they would have just released them in "realistic" paint tones in the first place, but oh well. I wouldn't mind seeing a Tarkin resculpt either. The Briefing Room set one isn't too bad I guess, and I don't see them doing another one anytime soon. They really are filling out the ANH roster pretty well at this point, it seems like a lot of us are stretching to think of "new" figures to make. Some figures from the POTF2 era could use resculpts, but otherwise we're getting things filled out nicely.

Just checked my list from 2003, since I found it first, before I found the 2006 Wishlist. Looks like all the figures from my 2003 list, (except Bom Vimdin) have been made, so maybe Hasbro really does take our wishes (to some extent) into consideration

Again, I had an incredibly hard time picking, (as if my list was going straight to Hasbro!!! :D) My only way I ended up doing this was to leave all resculpts off the list and pick never before made figures. [O.K.... maybe I'm putting too much thought into this. I've just edited the list my 2nd time and ended up adding my desired resculpts to the above list, which were originally only new figures.] The main other figures I wanted on the list are:

Death Star Trooper Detention Block style, with Jack boots and DH17 blaster and removable helmet and multiple head scultps in the same package
Imperial Officer Detention Block Style, with Holster and removable hat
Tie Fighter Pilot SA not just one arm, one wrist and good knees
Rebel Fleet Trooper (multiple heads in the same package like Concept Fett and Concept Vader)

Not a bad list - 50% of my choices made it, and those that made it on there were basically my 10-15 range, so I'm VERY happy with the results, bring on Empire!

I was 40%, but I was really going back and forth on some of them. I know I'd love to get the rest of Red and Gold Squadrons... perhaps they could make a exclusive 7-pack like they did with the DS Conference and Bounty Hunters.

I'm sure the other pilots will come in time, they're pretty much all simple head retools and helmet repaints - wouldn't be surprised if we get another this year as a pack-in with the upcoming TRU Y-Wing.
Same with the R5 units, that's the only area that I didn't get any traction - however, I'm betting if I had got those up there sooner, they might have made the list - R5-K6 seems to be a popular choice as Red Leader's Astromech. Another opportunity for a multi-pack set of repaints.
