The Legacy Collection / Re: More from TFU - Rumors/Speculation
« on: December 15, 2009, 08:40 AM »
I wish I could have found the TFU Ranco for $9, I would have bought it.  It sold rather well here which is surprising.  The Jabba's Palace version is not selling, however.  A few have moved but there's always at least one on the shelf.

   E...

Same thing in my area.  The TFU one didn't sit long enough to hit clearance prices.  I personally didn't buy one because I knew a ROTJ version (which I happily paid full price for when it was released) had to be right around the corner.  But had I see one clearanced for under $20 I would have bought a TFU version.

bullcrap or not on Darth Plagueis, thats the one my son 6 year son went ga-ga over when he saw all the pics of the finalists and I told him he could vote.  So, apparently he has "kid-appeal".

We got the Slave One, just not the one evryone wanted...   :P

I personally haven't lost faith in the new Slave One.  I bet we will see it at Toy Fair.  I recall Hasbro saying something in the past, it may have even been for a different line (Indiana Jones maybe), that it is a pretty safe bet that if something/someone comes out in the Galactic Heros line then it has a solid chance for coming out in the action figure line.

I would absolutely love the future ROTJ if it had a figure selection like JACKOFTRADZE posted 3 posts above mine.  that would be great!!!

Seriously sucks about the end of B.A.D. - best pack-in ever.  Hasbro, this pack-in got me to buy WAY more figures than ever before.  If there is gonna be no B.A.D. then Hasbro you better seriously mark down the MSRP because no other pack-in I could imagine is worth the current cost.

Went to Target last night to see what they had for Legacy - 1 Malakili, and 1 Nien Nunb.  I asked a worker if she could check to see if they had more "Star Wars toys" in stock and thankfully she said yes - without even a whince!

She called to back and they said they had 1 case - she came back with 2 cases of the ROTJ.  I already had this wave but I decided to pick up a bike trooper anyway.

It will interesting to see how long they last especially since ROTJ has been hitting Target hard.  One thing is for certain CW and SL figs are not moving at that store - it seems like the same ones have been there forever.

Just got my order from Toyrocket.com yesterday - and I am gonna go ahead and not recommend them to people.  Along with my laundy list of lies on their part about when they shipped my order they also shipped it incomplete.  You can see the complete list of what I ordered a few posts above.  What they didn't ship:

30th Anniversary Collection Droid Factory Complete Action Figure Set  ($40)
Sabe  ($2.50)
Snake-Eyes ($2.50)
G.I. Joe Resolute Action Figure Set  ($15)

So $60 of product I paid for a month ago.  Their reason?  It was all "back ordered" even though it was listed as instock on their site from the time I bought and "in stock/processing" throughout the month I waited.  And "back ordered", according to the toyrocket.com employee, means they won't be getting it back in stock...

Want to hear the real kick in the in nuts?  Even though they sent me this package, and knew that they would not be sending me the above items, it wasn't until I called last night to say something to them about not getting the above items that they said "Ok, we are going to go ahead and refund your credit card".  Why the hell did I have to make the phone call to get that initiated?  This should have been automatic on their part when they realized these items were "back ordered" and they would not be getting them.

Bottom line - not happy with their overall service.  Extremely happy with the items that I did receive.  I probably wouldn't do business with them again - the only instance I might chance it would be if they would have another "oh no we are going under" sale again because the deals were insane.  Otherwise with toyrocket.com you get lightning deals like Ak-Rev for $15, but we all already knew that their regular prices suck...  Would I recommend them to a friend - No.

this should be my last post about toyrocket.com   ;) - unless they don'y got ahead and refund my $60   >:(

edit:  my $60 was refunded   :)

Supposedly tomorrow according to the tracking info from UPS I will bet getting my toyrocket.com order - though I am still speculative over the whol deal.  According to the UPS tracking info my package weighs 8.6 lbs - here is what I ordered in abbreviated form:

Mon Calamari Warrior, Padme in Ilum Gear, Darth Vader & Grand Moff Trachta, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, Rebel Honor Guard, Death Star Trooper, Han Solo (Bespin Torture Rack), R2-D2 With Cargo Net, R2-B1, Rebel Vanguard Trooper, McQuarrie Concept R2-D2 and C-3PO, Clone Trooper 7th Legion, Pit Droids, 30th Anniversary Collection Droid Factory Complete Action Figure Set, Lt. Jundland (Luke Skywalker) and Deena Shan Action, Borsk Fey'lya and Wedge Antilles, Polis Massan, Ask Aak, Wookiee Heavy Gunner (#68 Corrected Card), Lobot Action Figure, Djas Puhr, Orn Free Taa, Teemto Pagilies, Ellorrs Madak (Duros), Ketwol, Sabe, Queen Amidala Royal Decoy, Zutton, Senator Palpatine, ASP-7 Droid, Snake-Eyes, G.I. Joe Resolute Action Figure Set

I was doubtful at first before typing this list that my entire order only weighed 8.6 lbs, now, after typing this list and remembering all I ordered, there is no way in hell all that only weighs 8.6 lbs.

I guess I will find out tomorrow...

It could be like the Walmart in my area.  they have containers outside in the back filled with Toys for the holiday season.  Perhaps all the SW figs are back there and the employee doesn't know about it.  I know for a fact that at the WM I am talking about in particular has all of the AT exclusives and Dewbacks out there because they don't have room on the sales floor.

but you would think the "toy manager" would know about that...

Hilarious in an unfunny way - toyrocket.com just sent me my UPS tracking number.  According to UPS, it was billed to UPS... wait for it... today.  So much for them shipping it out back on 11/24/09 like toyrocket.com told me.

so hopefully now it will actually ship out tomorrow 12/4/09 - just a week and a half lie on their part - no big deal...

I will be happy as hell when this actually gets to me - I got a great deal.  I just wish I would have been told by them in advance that it would take 1 month or more to get fulfilled and not all the pushbacks/lies.

thats a 3 3/4 figure???  I saw that earlier and I thought it was a Sideshow or something!  while I didn't see the front, the back looks great!

Anyway, the more I look at Darth Wyyrlok, the more I thought his body looked like an Imperial Kights Body.  And guess what, the Mas Ameeda head fits perfectly on the Imp Knight Body!

Just had a thought.

I wonder if one could swap heads with Lord Maleval and the ROTS Mas Ameeda, do a quick paint job on the head, and make a pretty quick and easy Darth Wyyrlok since the chance of him being in a comic pack (let alone being released in the near future) now is slim to none.

I realize the Armor wouldn't be 100% accurate, but it is pretty darn close imo.  May have to look into this with the one set I have at home.

edit:  or you can go:  altered cloak/skirt Quarren sith = Darth Azard.   Cloakless Quarren Sith = Lord Maleval.

/agreed - I have never had a problem with EE and I have made several orders with them.  I highly recommend EE.  I am debating going back and buying more of these sets through EE because this deal on this set is rocking - $2.67 a figure - yes please!  (this is of course not adding in shipping because there still is a free shipping deal if you spend over $59)

Just curious what mold are the male stormtroopers in this set using?

edit:  deleted comment about toyrocket.com and my unpleasantries with them   :P

ah yes, I was looking at the wrong calendar    :P   it was on the 24th then.  thanks!
