The Original Trilogy / Re: Who is okay with the Changes?
« on: March 10, 2007, 07:20 PM »
I agree with most of you about the changes. Wish he'd leave the movies alone for the most part.

I am glad that they changed the end music for Jedi because the Ewok Victory song was silly. Never liked it as a kid and that was who the Ewoks were aimed at. Plus the new Victory theme and the montage of different worlds was great because the Empire effected all of those places for the most part and it shows the galaxy wasn't happy with Palpatine's reign. It wasn't the Ewoks that won the war, but humans, Mon Calamari, Sullustans, etc. It was an effort on several humanoid and alien races.

One thing that kind of gets me weird is the extra scene of the Slave I following the MF... I'm so used to the music changing at that point.

Well isn't the SDCC exclusive going to be the McQuarrie 3P0 and R2?

I hope not. I'd rather have them be released on a basic card, but you're probably right. Which means I'll have to ask on of our Minnesoh-ta guys that's going (if we have one going) to pick me one up.  :-\

I'd buy any of these ideas.  We definitely need the prequel Lars family made...

 :P

Amen...

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Zam Wessell

Well, when Scott puts up the AotC Championship, I'm gonna make sure Zam gets put in my top 10.  ;) Though there's dozens of background Jedi and the Lars family...

-Final (non-sneak preview) POTJ wave (2002):  Bo Shek, Teebo, and R4-M9

The funny thing about this wave is I found it just after I moved up to the Twin Cities and a TRU had put them out just before the OTC wave meaning they got them or had them in storage all the way through the AotC waves!  :o ::)

George Lucas sitting in a lush chair with money bags beside him and reading a list of how he's going to re-release the two trilogies, each release with something new added.  ;)

Oh, you probably meant a serious response...

We have received about 80% of our order on wave 1, and Hasbro has given us the green light to ship (this wave was originally scheduled to have a 3/24 shelf date). So, we will ship all preorders at least 1 case, and allocate multi case orders at this point."

Weird.  I've heard/read that Hasbro has a 3/24 street date assigned to the SpiderMan 3 toys, but that's the first I've read/heard about it being applied to the Star Wars 30AC stuff...

Well, if that's the case, though it seems like several people are finding them regardless of a street-date, I'll have cash saved up for the oncoming onslaught on the wallet.

Can the "laser effect" that came with the previous SBD attach to the new SBD arm laser's?

Sadly, no it can't.

That's a bummer. I thought that was pretty cool addition.

You know, I was just looking at remembering the mandala that was painted on Kara's wall and it just stuck me that it is the view of the sun, Earth, and the gray dot with squiggly lines is the moon in a row. I need to find a pic to display here. Only one's I've found have a partial view.

Usually after an episode like this they would show the crew in the aftermath of her death: grieving in their own way... you know, Apollo would have taken this pretty hard as would Sam, but there was no shots of them later (sure we saw Lee's disbelief and cry out in shock, but that's it. No shot of him placing her picture next to Ket's nor Sam destroyed by his wife's death.

Plus I would think that Lee would be devastated because he put his faith in her when she asked to be relieved of duties to rest. It was his pushing that led to her being out there.

I was 40%, but I was really going back and forth on some of them. I know I'd love to get the rest of Red and Gold Squadrons... perhaps they could make a exclusive 7-pack like they did with the DS Conference and Bounty Hunters.

For some reason, this guy just looks too Star Trekish to me... kind of like the Traveller.

Hmm, recurring theme here. Good rock/alternative stations converting to country. *Place retching emoticon here*

When I lived in Iowa that happened alot. Soon I didn't have any access to any good music except for Alternative Nation on MTV... and that was when that was good... when they actually had Headbangers Ball with Adam Curry.
