Thanks for sharing that, very interesting read. I always appreciated Kurtz's opinions on the various documentaries and stuff that he is included on, and it is an interesting read. I can see the point of adding a little more weight to ROTJ, although I can't say I'm necessarily a fan of Han biting it either. I could see something like Jesse's example of Lando though. Its funny, as a kid, ROTJ was probably my favorite since it was the first I saw in theaters, but I can see its faults a bit more as an adult. I still love it, but I could see how they could have gone different ways with things as well.
I think you especially see the influence of toys beginning with the prequel trilogy, and specifically with the already mentioned clones. Although I have many to most of the various colors they've made, I did always think they were a little bit silly in some respects. The different "rank" colors from AOTC was enough, but it really got wacky come CW/ROTS. All sorts of different colors and designs, and while some look cool, there's something about the starkness of the all white troops of the OT stormtroopers that I think they could have stuck with as well. As for the article though, I guess I didn't even realize that Kurtz and Lucas had "gone their seperate ways". Too bad really.
