(CNN) -- Actor and comedian John Ritter has died unexpectedly after he was rushed to the hospital for a "dissection of the aorta,"...
While not a big fan, you have to admit "Addicted to Love" is, well, an addicting tune.
BTW, I'm still not entirely over John Ritter's passing. That's still got me wigged out that Jack Tripper is no more... :'(
Was it wrong for me to giggle when I heard the news?
Sounds like Reagan is not doing so well...
:( Indeed very sad. Greatest President within my lifetime.
one thing i don't understand. yes, he was president. yes, he dies. yes, it's sad. but come on - the guy was 93 years old and had been ill for quite some time. every station on tv has "broken away" from it's regular programming to have some kind of special report on his death. sorry but it's just not that big of a deal to me. it's not like he was 40 years old and got hit by a bus or something.
am i an insensitive ass?
How many former Presidents are still alive?
Gerald Ford
Jimmy Carter
George Bush
Bill Clinton
Indeed very sad. Greatest President within my lifetime.

Reagan on the $10 Bill (http://money.cnn.com/2004/06/08/news/economy/reagan_hamilton/index.htm?cnn=yes)?
Poor guy never saw it coming.
RIP Ray.

It's certainly been a bit much. Especially so since Reagan has been pretty much out of sight for over 10 years. Writing valentines to him as much as the mainstream media is has been a bit overdone.
As for placing him on currency....no thanks. I can't justify taking Hamilton, Jefferson or Roosevelt off of a piece of currency to make room for Reagan. Especially since Reagan wasn't exactly our best fiscal president. We had a big recession under him, then rampant inflation, staggering deficits, and a major stock market crash. Too much bad economics bad karma going on there to even THINK of putting him on our money.
I can't wait for the REST IN PEACE part, myself. Sorry, I'm just sick of the media coverage. Stations should just replace their network logos with "Reagan still dead!" if they really need to constantly remind us all the man's deceased.
Besides, California hasn't submitted their quarter design yet....why don't they go for it as well???
On March 29, 2004, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced his selection of the Muir Quarter to represent the Golden State in the U.S. Mint's 50 State Quarters ® Program. Garrett Burke's newly minted design will be issued in January 2005, featuring the image of famed writer-naturalist and Sierra Club founder John Muir posed against Yosemite's Half Dome, with a California condor in flight overhead...

Don't forget his stunning perfomance of Jor El in SupermanOh yeah ::)
Oh, dammit. I missed that thread. :-X ::)
OK, lock and delete this one. :-X
How do you have a Rick James thread without the immortal phrase "I'm Rick James, bitch!"?

Gotta go with Spinal Tap
I haven't spoken to my wife in years. I didn't want to interrupt her.
A girl phoned me the other day and said "Come on over, there's nobody home." I went over. Nobody was home.
I told my psychiatrist that everyone hates me. He said I was being ridiculous - everyone hasn't met me yet.
My wife and I were happy for twenty years. Then we met.
My wife is always trying to get rid of me. The other day she told me to put the garbage out. I said to her I already did. She told me to go and keep an eye on it.
My wife's jealousy is getting ridiculous. The other day she looked at my calendar and wanted to know who May was.
When I was a kid my parents moved a lot, but I always found them. [/quote

I saw this on Bloody-Disgusting.com
The inspiration of my forum name has died...RIP Ol' Dirty Bastard, he was 35, he was old and dirty and sort of a bastard

When MTV News followed him around at the height of his popularity, he took the camera crew and several of his kids (he was said to have more than a dozen, by numerous mothers) to the welfare office — in a limousine — to get an allotment of food stamps.
And he received them.
Since the ODB has died I have decided that the name OCB will die with it (for a while at least) From now on I'm just plain ol' Scott, no more, no less.
RIP ODB
RIP OCB
RIP Rod Roddy
I also had a friend commit suicide just a few days ago...What's going on lately?
??? :'(
I'm not a catholic by any means but I had a chance to go to a Wednesday morning Mass three years ago in Rome - I'm glad that I did. As far as Pope's go - he was among the best.
May he rest in peace, even though we're not of the same faith, he was a great leader who reached across many lines. He will be missed.
