I haven't seen pics yet, but thought I'd start up a thread so we have one when pics surface...
-
Can't get enough of the little guys! ;D
-
May be my favorite thing of the show so far and I've not seen it yet. :P That's sad in a way, but I really love Ewoks and have wanted a decent Catapult for a while now.
-
They looked nice. I'm not sure which 'woks they are, though.
-
Generics or I'd say woks that armed the catapults perhaps? I'm happy either way.
-
People can decry K-Mart stores for being kind of dirty & rundown, but they actually handled their 2012 exclusives reasonably well. I'm looking forward to seeing some imagery of the catapult and Ewoks soon. Too bad we didn't get an image of this from the presentation.
-
love it - cant wait for pics!
-

There should be an image of the box.
-
There was not an image included in the press materials they sent out, so the box art could still be pending approval or not quite ready for wide audience sharing yet... have to wait until someone's ninja/phone pic shows up.
-
I remember one of the Ewoks appeared to be gray and black (splotchy).
-
I am looking forwards to seeing pictures of the set. More than likely I'll end up getting it.
-
Steve, this set, do you recall any details? One Ewok and the catapult? Two and the weapon?
I'm stoked on this set and the other one has me more excited about the apparant Trooper variation that's going around.
-
I hate exclusives, and especially KMart exclusives. KMart is a **** store, and I don't even have one within 35 miles of my house.
If Hasbro put as much effort into their Star Wars figures as they do cooking up these exclusive schemes, maybe they would have a better showing at Toy Fair.
-

I believe it was 2 'woks and the catapult. Sorry I cannot be concrete (I was there, right!), but my bladder was about to explode. Once it got to Marvel, I had to run.
-
I wish it wasn't K-Mart as well (none around here), but it does sound like a couple of nice exclusives, and I loved last year's. I'll be looking for help with these again this time around :).
-
Haha.
Thanks man... Gives me hope for 2. I hadn't seen anything mentioned... Kinda like the Scanner set isn't seemingly 2 Scanner techsn ow. I prefer that though.
-
Yeah the one negative about this set is that it's a K-Mart exclusive. Closest K-Mart is 8 hours away. We do have a Sears Grand that stocks K-Mart exclusive toys but I got lucky finding the AT-ST and Ewok sets from last year... they restock the toy section about once a year I think.
-
Tha 'Scum is saying there's no pictures of the set because it wasn't the final product. They also say the Ewoks included are named "Chubbray and Stemzee"
So mark two of the ROTJ wish list....ha-ha.
-
La Chupa Cabra?
-
Pictures at last!

Looks decent enough. Maybe the Ewoks could be more exciting, both in coloration and gear. They used one newer Ewok body at least.
-
It might just be because of the vinty box, or the fact that I always wanted all the ewok stuff when I was a kid, but I'm pretty excited for this one. Again, since its a KMart exclusive, I'll be looking for help...but it is pretty cool.
-
Man, Hasbro has been knocking the Ewoks out of the park lately. I wish every exclusive turned out as great as the last few Ewok sets have. I'm loving the huge tribe of 'woks I've got now. :)
(sorry Brent. :-[)
-
How accurate are the ewoks to the pult? I like the calico with the white on his face. :) now to see the imperials.
-
There is a shot on Wookieepedia with an Ewok that has a facial fur pattern similar (definitely not Lumat)

Wow. That is nice. I actually totally forgot about this ewok and at-st driver KMart stuff last year. Went over to eBay expecting to have to lube up, but they're actually only $15 for each set. That is a lot cheaper than last year. Maybe even better than the MSRP?
Winning.
-
When is this set supposed to hit?
-
Sets were $15 retail... I got a few for $10 all ATST guys though ironically though Ewoks lingered longer. The ATST guys I got seemed to be returns or lost in the stock room then bam. Weird. Still ATST's here.
-

Good question. These were among the items that we didn't see photos of from Toy Fair. I'm thinking post Comic Con / Q3. When did the AT-ST crew and Hijackers hit K-Mart stores? IIRC, that might have been OCT '12 or so. Would K-Mart have a similar schedule this year, too?

Sweet. I saw this thread this morning and remembered I never picked them up. Got em on ebay for $15 each and was stoked.
-
Will somebody hurry up and take a picture of the back of the Ewok box already?!? Be nice to get some names for those little fuzzballs...
And $20 seems like a good price for this considering the last few carded ewoks were singles for $10.
-
Totally agree... $20 is pretty on. New big and multiparty accessory and two "new" woks... And the other sets still $15? Does hasbro or Kmart get credit for this? With all the collectors bashing both companies its hard to say who got this right. I guess collectors can just take the credit for this maybe? :)
-
Hasbro didn't bother changing the slide from Toy Fair. What could have been.

Is that better or worse? I can't tell.
I dig what we're getting, a lot.
-
Is that better or worse?
Neither, just different.

Looks like the 'Chubbray' and 'Stemzee' reports are confirmed as the names of the 'woks...

StemZee sounds like a pothead. :x
Were those in the eu or Hasbro originals?
-
When are these Kmart exclusives supposed to hit stores?
-
I was thinking October IIRC which is about when they hit last year too.
-
I can't tell - is this the same mold as the vintage cat or is it all new?
-
Parts of it are new for sure. I can't be certain on the base, but I recall the original launching arm had a hook, which you inserted into a hole in the boulders. This one looks to have a net/platform that the boulder sits on.
-
I found and bought this set today. I placed a store-pickup order for two sets, and the store had two more sets on the shelf. So either these are shipping in cases of four or my store got two cases of two.
EDIT: This was in Raleigh, NC BTW.
-
None of these in my neck of the woods yet. And no shelf or peg tags, either.
-
Was told that my local store had them in stock so I ordered 2 with in-store pick-up - got my e-mail that my order was ready for pick-up, so I'm going to hit there tonight - fingers crossed!
-
No need to worry the store pick up works fine... The set is a lil small but I think $21 isn't bad for it.
The ewoks are dreamy... Love the teal hood. Love the kinda calico deco on the one. Nice set to finally have and the rock can haul some serious ass if you fire it right!
The rocks are rubbery so I wonder how they'll last long term but they're cool and its a well designed little toy that actually works probably better than they intended it to. Very screen accurate too. :)
I have a Robin Hood battlewagon I am going to custom up for my modern ewoks and this will look slick nearby.

Sorry - should have said that I had my fingers crossed that one of the two is MIB - which as luck would have it happened to be the case.
They had two more sitting out on the shelf - so I grabbed a third to have a 2nd opener.
Very pleased with this set - and considering that we were paying Vintage prices for Wicket, Logray and Lumat all by themselves, getting two Ewoks and a catapult for $21 isn't that bad of a deal.
-
Found mine yesterday. Pretty cool set. The box is oddly designed - it's so tall and flat - but unique. I love the Ewoks that came with it. Hopefully they do more pieces like this.
-
Yeah I've seen a few gripes that these 3 sets aren't a great value but nice figures with nice accessories? These are a steal compared to TBS or Mission Series or Legends really.
-
These are a great value considering anyone of these figures would for $10 by itself.
-
Just managed to get an in-store order in for this one... hopefully when I get there they will magically have the Scanning Crew set on the shelves. There's nothing more inconvenient for me than K-Mart exclusives.

There hasn't been a Kmart in this part of Texas for over a decade, so I feel you pain.
-
Yeah, I remember that... it's definitely easier here than there, but if you go at the wrong times it's an hour round trip with traffic.
If you need, I can try to pick up extras whenever I go back for the scanning crew set.
-
This thing REALLY launches those rocks, which are rubber... like, not even vinyl. They're rubber, like slightly more rigid super balls from the bubblegum machine... They bounce nice, but man, this thing will launch them hard. Cats/dogs beware.

Don't let PETA see this.
-
It's kind of amazing that these are consistently showing as in stock at stores across town 40 miles away, but at the two stores close, not a sign.
-
And, as a follow-up, I ran to that store anyway and picked up this set.
-
Just saw this set is going to be on sale 10/27/13 - 11/23/13 as part of the KMart toybook for a nice price - $16.99!!!

How can this be in stock at a certain k-mart store but when you go there it is no where to be found. In fact this k-mart doesn't even have Star Wars shelf space. If I buy it online and pick it up at that store, does that mean they kept it hidden in the back for some scalper friend?
-
It's in the back, or stolen. If you buy site-to-store they'll dig it out of the back for you. Better than asking them to do so at the customer service desk where, much like Target, they won't want to do it for you most likely.
-
It came back on their web site again. This time I did a store pickup and they magically had it at customer server. Still no where to be found or even tagged in the toy section. They must have these just for web site store pickup only.
-
Got this yesterday, pretty cool set.
-
These are now on clearance... Theoretically the Imperial Scanner sets are as well now, if you still have any. I haven't seen the box top since the early part of 2014 and I haven't seen the box bottom in a month or so as they'd dropped to $12 and I had a $3 off $20 toy coupon so I bought them. :-X
The Ewoks are plentiful though. Like, almost Tribble plentiful.
