Hi Everyone!
I'm very sad tonight because my 7 yr. old didn't win the Hasbro Star Wars Young Collector's contest.
We worked for 3 months setting up, taking down, photographing, displaying, writing, and trying to come up with the coolest presentation we could think of to win.
I think I'm more disappointed than my son, because I know the time and effort we all put into this trying to win this for him.
My husband is in unbelief too. We really thought we had a winner.
But I have to say that I am happy for the child who did win the grand prize and the child who won for our State. I'm just bummed tonight because we didn't win anything for all of our efforts.
We will rise above this saddness though, and we will keep trying to win. It just may take a few times before our presentation gets noticed! ;)

AT least you had the fun playing with your and your sons toys Zam ;D I wonder what the criteria was for judging?

I wish I knew. I really hope that they looked at all of the entries and didn't just decide quickly to get it over with. :-\

Well, I haven't won anything Star Wars related since August 22, its an accepted fact that there's massive competition for any prize that is Star Wars. So don't feel TOO bad.
I think its cool you guys actually TRIED to win, as it is my parents would have never helped me enter the contest.

I guess I thought after seeing all of our work that there wouldn't be too many parents helping their children either. At least that's the idea I got when I told people we were entering. Many adults thought I was crazy!!!
But like I said, I'm now ready for other contests. We have our collection counted, documented, photographed, and we have a presentation ready to go!
We will try again!!! ;)

That is too bad you did not win. Better luck next time. Do you have any of the pictures you sent? If so, post them for us to see. Thanks

I'd love to share Chris, but we don't have a scanner. I've put it on my list of top three wishes for Christmas from Santa though. So there is hope in sight! ;)

Sounds good. Hewlett Packard is the proven leader in scanners... ;)

Thanks for the advice on scanners. I'll relay it to my other half! ;)
