The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6" Black Series - 2014 Wave 1

If it had been Boba Fett and not Han I'd be ordering a case right now. Hasbro!!!

I would too, we've already gotten good versions of those characters previously. I'd rather see the slots used for unreleased characters like Bo-Katan, Rako Hardeen, etc.

Pretty cool episode...tense scenes with Rick, some fun with Professor Mullet and Big Red, and Crazy Cheese!

Rosita reminds me of the female deputy from Planet Terror, she rocks.

Loved Rick leaving the door cracked for the dead guy to turn and wreak havoc in the house...

Half the group on the way to Terminus now, the other half still roaming around. Guessing they will all get there by season's end?

Next week: more fun with Daryll and Beth...still worried for her

Ugh, I regret opening this can of worms now, but to clarify my position: I just feel that movies made from comics should be 100% true to their source material. That's it. If for whatever reason that source material seems unpalatable for a modern audience the way it was originally written, by all means choose something else. There are plenty of racially diverse modern properties that would make excellent super hero films.

I would like to see an FF film actually set in the proper historical time frame and not modernized at all. It could have a crazy cool retro flavor ala Mad Men.

And I love all peoples of the world, honestly, I'm just an anal retentive stickler for details. I hated when the changed Spider Man's webslingers too, or made the Rhino some kind of weird machine and not just a big guy in a suit.  :)

Star Wars Rebels / Re: Star Wars Rebels Toy Rumors!

Spring would be sweet, maybe take advantage of the finale buzz, but I could also see them rolling this out in the early Fall when the next season kicks off. Either way, I am hoping for something on the larger side but not prohibitively expensive. Maybe like between the MTT and the Republic Attack Shuttle in terms of overall mass.

I dunno, seems to me that in Fall 2015 would be a weird time to release a big item from Rebels... Seems by October-ish it will be Ep7 time for the toy focus.

It seems unlikely they would release a big ship before the movie even comes out though? If it even gets released on time, so much can happen between now and then to potentially create delays.

I think people will like this ship when it comes out, it's a cool design.

Other Toy Lines / Re: Pacific Rim Toys

Watched a cool YouTube interview with one of the Neca guys from Toy Fair and he revealed that not only will there be a Wave 4 with an all new and improved Gipsy Danger sculpt, but that they are already working on the next 18" figure - Cherno Alpha!!!

Just super psyched about this news, we've already gotten way more out of this line than I expected too, and this latest news is just sweet icing on the cake.  :)

Sounds like Fox has chosen their new Fantastic Four (for the reboot on the way next year):

http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/02/20/fox-sets-fantastic-four-reboot-cast

Mr. Fantastic/Reed Richards - Miles Teller
Invisible Woman/Susan Storm - Kate Mara
Human Torch/Johnny Storm - Michael B. Jordan
The Thing/Ben Grimm - Jamie Bell

Unbelievable suckitude. They actually found a way to make the previous cast look good in retrospect.

And I'm sorry, but Johnny Storm is white and should be cast accordingly. It creates too many unnecessary distractions/questions about the whole familial link with him and Sue. It just doesn't fit the story in this case.

My all time favorite comic and they can't get it right for the big screen...crushing.

I had some fun with this today! Built a nice set of four droids at Tatooine Traders. It was locked down just as Pete described, but luckily my wait was only about 5-10 minutes. I built those suckers in no time though! The "attendant" actually came in pretty handy as I had to keep bugging her for spare parts I couldn't find in the bins on my side. There was only one part I could tell for sure they were out of  - a random green left leg. Weird.

My daughters enjoyed building their own light sabers too...Windu purple with Dooku hilts. I found it odd they had Maris Brood's saber hilt as a selection though. Just struck me as oddly random.

You guys make some good points to be sure, but I think the up front commitment they have shown for the show already is a pretty good indicator of what we can expect going forward. Those three big ships were legitimate class II efforts, not like those horribly out of scale things they were trawling out earlier. That's at least as much tooling, etc if not more than the Ghost would require, so it's not that big a jump, IMO.

The whole timeline thing just seems to me like it old be more conducive to getting this out than anything from ep. 7, at least for this year and next. They have known about the Ghost for awhile now, have all the specs, finalized art, dimensions, etc. Have they even started shooting ep 7 yet? JJ is notoriously secretive with his projects, I wonder how much he would let out of the bag at this stage simply for merchandising considerations. Maybe there is no iconic big ship from the next film?

Plus who knows if that thing even comes out on time...I still think it gets pushed back to the following spring. Gotta fill that lull somehow!

I saw the saga legends 5 poa figures at the gift shop outside Star Tours for $10.95 today! So yeah, there are some pretty wild fluctuations out there.

All the "why are there no lady Rebels action figures" folks can relax - via Newsarama, Hasbro confirms Hera, Sabine figures coming; will be debuted at SDCC.

That would be me...and thanks! Now I can sleep in peace!  ;D

Yep, next to The Residents they were my favorite cult/niche/nerd/Subgenius band. Hail to the weird!

Yeah, Zeb looks pretty cool, I dig the voice. Not feeling it for Ezra though, I'm tired of street smart punk kids.

I'm not averse to paying a lot out of pocket up front for a big vehicle if it's something that's part of my focus. (The only exception being the Republic Attack Shuttle which is literally the only Clone Wars I didn't buy immediately upon sight, I did get two eventually though) I know there is a tendency to wait things out sometimes and I get that, $$$ are tight nowadays, but I do think they could crank this thing out under the $100 range and still do it justice.

I also don't begrudge them for playing it safe out of the gate, but I think if the show gets a warm reception this thing has a good shot at a holiday release, which would mean it's already in development. Fingers crossed!
