I was a bit out of it this week, but I'm really happy to see that they addressed the preorder situation in essentially the best way possible. That combined with the deluxe card/regular card announcement was enough for me to be happy with this stream.

We survived the initial tariff pricing and seem to be stabilizing at the prior retail price for now.
Add Vader's Tie Fighter on top of that... wins all around.
Hopefully we'll see some really great figures announced at SDCC, but for now, with so many coming between now and November, I feel confident that the hobby is in a good spot.

Think I'm SOL on this one. Hasbro's Customer Service was great. They responded really quickly, got my info, and sent a replacement, but couldn't guarantee a replacement Anakin was available.
Sure enough, today I received a Black Series 2-pack of about the same value.

Not sure it's worth pursuing any further. If they are unavailable, they're unavailable. Nothing a CS rep can do. Plus, I don't want to ding them by reopening the ticket. They did their job.

Just had Amazon update my delivery estimate to September 3rd. I'm not terribly upset about it.
Thought it was a little strange that this wave and VC 367-371 were all scheduled for August 4th.
I would not want to be the Hasbro employee trying to coordinate the supply chain right now. Think we should send them a gift basket?

I'm leery about preordering from Target. Including shipping, my total for just Bom Vimdin would be $25.
Don't have any of the TVC Gamorrean Guards in my collection and would love to get 4-5 of them, but missed the boat on this preorder.
I think I'll wait a bit to see if Amazon will carry these. What the heck is with preorders selling out so fast?

I don't mean to be negative. My general reaction to this is good. Just seems a little odd.

EDIT: Ah screw it, who am I kidding. I ordered a Bom Vimdin.

Got mine from Amazon today. It's a great figure and I'd love to mini-army build it with 5 or 6 more, but there's no way I will buy another at $34.
That's essentially what I just bought the Blurrg for  :o  Please tell me this won't be the new normal.

Received mine today and it's great, unfortunately, my ROTS-style Anakin has 2 right arms. Not the entire arm, so I didn't notice right away, but definitely the bicep-shoulder part, so there's no way to do a two-hand grip. I put an email in to customer service, but I'm not hopeful since the set has been bouncing between sold out and available.

Have you guys ever had to contact customer service? This is a first for me.

I'm seeing a price-bump from $16.99 to $22.99 on Amazon for Shin, Mando Super Commando, and the 501st Trooper from this latest wave. Looks like Asajj has also gone from $19.99 to $22.99.
With Cobb Vanth sitting as he did for $24.99, and IG-12 doing the same (locally at least) I cannot imagine this will be healthy for the line.

On a related note, I finally quit smoking (after 15 years) by going to vaping last year. Then in January, CA banned the sale of the refillable nicotine I was using. The brands I bought most were made in Irvine, CA and Beavercreek, OH. Reluctantly made the switch to these single-use disposable contraptions, all of which are made in China.

Yesterday, I spoke to a shop owner who's been in business for over 10 years and found out his distributors had their shipments from China cancelled. Don't know what he's going to do or how long he'll be able to stay open. It's not like he's got oodles of product stocked up. It's like fate saying "we would prefer you just start smoking again"  :(

With today's news, maybe some things go back to a more normal situation. I hope so, at least. It's less about 'two dolls instead of thirty' to me and more about 'regular people own shops selling dolls...please dont make them close and put on a walmart vest'.

Also, Hasbro Pulse still shows 'temporarily unavailable' on all the newer products. I'm bracing for price increases regardless of whatever band-aid deal is made.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw the Stormtrooper 3-pack was back to low stock, but quickly returned to normal as it looks like everything on Hasbro Pulse is "Temporarily Unavailable".

Thank you so much for the heads up! Not sleeping has paid off  :)

Consensus around the various sites seems to be a lot of us missed the Pulse pre-orders.

For myself, I was able to add the multipacks to my cart at 1pm ET, but couldn't pay and check out. I figured that was because I didn't have premium, but may have been a different error.
While spamming refresh, I could see that both packs sold out. After it hit 2pm ET and there was no change, I removed them from my cart in case that was creating a bug for myself and others.

Hopefully these are relisted tomorrow when the web team gets into the office.
I feel really bad for the folks who are paying for premium and didn't get these. That Sandtrooper pack was gone before 20 mins had passed. Not sure anyone thought it would go that fast.

I suppose today would have been the ideal day to get Premium.

Sold out!   :o

I'm a little shocked no other retailer picked up this army builder set.
Maybe I'll get lucky and someone will have cancelled an order by the time I can check out  :P

Looks like this set and the HTTE set are listed as 'sold out' on Pulse now. I missed the 'low stock' alert  :-\
In my head, I was debating whether or not ROTS Anakin was worth $50, since we so recently got CW Anakin and many many Vaders.
It's funny how a red 'sold out' icon can clear up your confusion real fast.

Hopefully this means sales were strong enough to warrant more stuff like this in the future. I loved the Evolutions sets from back in the day.
