The Vintage Collection / Re: Vintage Collection Rumors

The only character design in Rebels I completely disliked was Zeb.  If theyíd done the McQ concept of Chewie we got a figure of, Iíd love that look more, but what we got just looked out of place, to me.

Now that said, Iíd love to see all the Rebels in TVC, and Iím in the camp that Hera needs her own design separate of the Rebel Pilot figure.  The overalls and stuff is an awesome look to me, though that pilot is a solid base for a custom project and the head is a no brainer there.  I would just love to see a figure like TBS got in 3.75Ē for her.

I have Kanan TBS and itís really incredible and would also be an awesome 3.75Ē Fig.

The way the Disney+ stories are going Iím thinking it could happen some day, but with this line you just donít know anymore.  Kind of a bummer compared to when this stuff was almost a given and it was the most absurd figures that had the question marks, haha.

Meh...I collect figures that fit into worlds, so I really tend to always skip the gimmick repaints. Sure, Droids is kind of a fun cartoon, but if a figure doesn't look like it's in an actual scene with the figures around it, I'm not interested.

This is where I am too.  Like the gimmicky Marvel R2 worked as a rando R2 deco quite well while the stormtrooper was simply dumb looking.  If this R2 and 3PO work as looking like other droids Iím interested.  The animated Fett worked as a different Mando (as did Marvel Mando figs) so Iím hopeful if they do that again itís the new sculpt.  Iíll grab that happily.

I donít expect anything new from these sets though.  Repaints on repaints on repaints.

I kinda want it too.  I got most of the ones I have on clearance including the OG build a Sabre from RadioShack (itís my fav).  The last I got was a Kylo Ren at Ross and I love it too.  But theyíre definitely space hogs and finding wall space isnít easy for these.  Plus I donít want them stored anywhere outside without heat and AC.  Chromed stuff takes some care to keep it nice.

But that Rey sabre is awfully nice and among the iconic ones Iíd kinda like to have.  Certain ones look good together I think, and hers would look cool with ROTJ Luke and ANH Luke or ROTS Anakin ones, and Kyloís.

If a TVC Hera happened, Iíd flip my wig.  Iím leaning toward more repaints though, and like Jeff, at $50 for a set theyíre needing to really be something else for me to care.

Agree on all of the above.  Not a bad idea in the bunch.  Iíd love to see Hasbro go back to this in some capacity.  Weíve been starved for army builders since retail kind of collapsed.

Itís a solid droid for some dome swaps if you have like the R3 silver one handy, etc

Yeah contacting WM directly should get results.  Had a similar issue years back.  What a friggin mess that was.  Most places just let you change your payment method yourself and it updates all orders.  Places like WM made it overly complex.  EE is great in a lot of ways but cancelling orders there is a real circus.

Tusken is in that new wave.  Itís not popped up in the shippers (yet?🤔).

Today was a good day.

Stormtrooper 4 pack is a welcome addition too.

Yeah two more packages showed at my house...  no clue what they are as Iíve lost track of stuff but I think at least one more Tusken and another Luke.

Glad itís out of the way now.

None of my figures came mint but I open anyway so whatever.

Tusken with updates elbows is nice enough, but not really that special if the previous figure didnít bother you.  The weapons are abysmal though.  Insanely soft plastic, and wilt over time.  Theyíll be swapped out with other figureís accessories.  Really disappointing plastic choice.

The Luke figure is a really nice portrait of MH and the removable helmet isnít a real issue since there are like a thousand Jedi Lukes out there.  The head would swap easily with the last DS Luke we got and most have an extra.  It wouldíve been nice had they included an extra helmetless head but not really expected either.  If anything, given Ahsoka and Maul, it makes me long for ground up resculpts of Jedi figures haha.  The poncho is a nice update too, and the accessories are nice.  The blaster isnít even necessary really, but Iíll take it.

The Death Star droid is the odd surprise.  The added weathering detail goes a long way to make this figure unique to his BAD counterpart.  Very welcome update.  Makes it kind of like two different figures to me.  Heíll display much nicer with Jawas with the weathering.

Iím curious to see how they get to the rest of these rerelease-esque figures as we go forward.
