Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Bar's open! What'll you have...?

It's hot, it's snowing.  Make up your bloody mind mate ;)

No wonder the bars never close.  You have weather so schizophrenic it drives you to drink.   ;D

Sure, Padme has a green thumb because she's about to become domesticized.  Every good housewife has a green thumb.

<-------ducking and running away

I like the new cards, still hate the big bubbles though.  I guess as long as more accessories keep coming, it'll be cool.

Where are the blast marks on Coleman ;D  Just add cold water ;)

Heh, that was my first thought when you posted that detail Scott:  why does he care, he'll never be out that late?  Ah, the joys of parenthood.  Notably responsible parenthood.  Oh well, more fun being kicked in the crackers by a rampaging 3 year old when you're not hungover. ;)

Other Toy Lines / Re: McFarlane Sportspicks

Items I'll never own but would like to -  click here

Sigh, not sure if McFarlane is smart or dumb.  I just hope he doesn't put out an uber cool hockey goalie exclusive that I can't get.

The San Diego stuff is most interesting as it is comic related, but just to have some of those sports exclusives to own and open would be cool.  Then post loose pics over at McFarlane ;D

Will they do them to scale with the Falcon?  If so, that would have to reduce the price significantly just on size.  Perhaps not for the AT-AT but for the Tie and X-wing.  And for that reason, I can't see them making them any smaller.  Pity, I like scale.

Red carpet is entirely dependent upon your response to the following question:

Do you like Ewoks?

Regardless of the answer, welcome and enjoy your stay ;D

Ah, you reminded me of what part of the dark ages we were in for the longest time.  Beer and liquor stores, as well as bars, were closed Sundays up until about two years ago.  Only place you could drink was in a restaurant or at a sporting event (football, baseball, hockey, horse racing).  Used to be pretty funny to see the lineups at 1:55 am at the beer stores on Saturday night.  Bunch a drunks making darn sure they had more for the next day.  :D

Put a fork in em, they're done. :'(

Welcome to the worlds most boring Stanley Cup final that could possibly happen.  I think Matt's chances just went up.

I would be pleased though if Brodeur got a cup in the season following the gold medal.  Nice for him.

As long as Giguere doesn't turn into a sieve, he should get the Conn Smythe.  Brodeur might steal it though.  Brodeur is now what I would consider to be a lock for the Vezina as well.  I thought Lalime with the better record might have a shot, especially with a Cup win, but that ain't gonna happen.

Heh, you're all deprived.  It's been 2 am for most for about 15 years here, 3 am for some bars.

Drinking age is 18 :P

One minute to play, Jersey 3, Ottawa 2.  Not good.  Lalime is out of the net.

Heh, bit of a drive for me, otherwise I probably would.  I don't think Maiden's been up here for 15 years.  Sad really.

Motorhead - Ace of Spades.  If you like metal, they'll be just fine.  Never saw them live though, so can't say the show will be very good.  My opinion of them is they were speed metal before speed metal was cool.  Never understood a damn word they said ;D  Had a bunch of albums (yes, vinyl) a t-shirt or two and a bandana.

Dude, you're seriously confused.  Winnipeg is the test market.  The cheapest, most walmart loving city in the world (also probably the first place that walmart employees will unionize) is the ideal test market.  If you can survive here without everything being on sale, you can survive anywhere. :P

But I appreciate your generosity of spirit.  I promise to return the favor ;D

Of course, if Canuckada doesn't score a target store in either city... ;)

Aw crud.  I like how that thing looks.  I had myself pretty much convinced that I was good with just the POTF2 version, especially since I have a spare pilot too.

Target exclusive?  Aw crud.

Price still too steep for me (curse you McFarlane).  Looks ok and I like the matte finish, but doesn't it seem too clean at this point?  Wasn't the fastest hunk of junk a whole lot dirtier?

Kubricks / Re: New Star Wars Kubricks...
« on: May 23, 2003, 04:13 PM »
How come you went with EB set first ($$$)?  Easier to get rid of?

Not sure about the availability of the solid cases.  Dale and I ordered two from one place (linked back around page 2 of this thread) and they are sold out, right Dale?  Seem to be popular, at least with some folks, if not the other boards.  Starting to see some interest in Canuckada too.

Scott,
so, will you be buying the Barney Kubricks too? :P
