HOW THE HELL DID HE GET FROM THE EAST BACK INTO GOTHAM?

I actually enjoyed the movie a lot, but that plot hole just floored me.

The 12" line just speaks volumes about how profit is job #1 right now. They copy a much better collector line from another company, but position it for kids despite the lack of any play value.  I might have even considered a few of these to go with my vintage ones (Jango Fett, vinyl cape Maul, some of the bounty hunters, etc.  But with the weapons molded on, these are practically statues.  Lame.

Profit is always #1.  Hasbro is a business.  That's no surprise.  What is, though, is their inability to actually get the stuff that people want into their hands.

I think it means that maybe Adam would like to do more stuff like this, and if we want crazy exclusives, we need to make sure this doesn't flop.

Yeah, but aside from the lousy Sam Jackson stand in, the Jedi continuity is all the fault of fans who have no imagination.  The way I remember it was that fans noticed that the exact same actors/actresses had not played the same character (defined by costume) and started whining.  For instance, Adi Gallia (sp?) was in TPM, then another actress whole looked almost the same played her in AOTC.  But since it wasn't the same actress, people started complaining.

It this sort of tight ass rigidity that I dislike in many fans.  They would rather have continuity, as opposed to, say an actress who is better with a lightsaber than the previous one who played they same roll.

I know, what could be worse than that?

A line of Build A-Droid figures where there is not one "unmade" figure at all.  All resculpts.

Do we know for sure that they actually clear the pegs of stores in order to boost up the prices they charge?  Because that's what scalping is.  Yes they overcharge, but that alone does not make them scalpers.  A scalper must profit from the shortage that he or she creates.

I agree.  While I think 19.99 would be better, I would be willing to pay this a few times a year for VERY obscure figures.  Not silver variants, or clones with new markings, but completely new, very, very obscure, hardcore only figs.

Give me human "cut-scene" Jabba next.

You know, I went back thinking I could help someone out, and there were no more.

Well, I'm very happy about this, even at 24.99.  I think that this was the ONLY never before seen character at the show.  Everything else was a resculpt or simple re-release.

Woo Hoo!  Not only did I find these, but they rang up for 5.99!  No lie.  I got both for 12.00 and change. Must have been a big mistake somewhere.  I had noticed a clearance sign in the rack, but assumed it was for older product.

And I don't feel guilty at all.  Hasbro and Target have done such a crap job this year that I don't feel any remorse.  In fact, I was so happy I gave a guy who was in the parking lot with his wife and kids holding an "I lost my job" sign 10.00.

I've given up on having "one of each" this year, as there were many new figures that were hard to get, that I really had no connection to.  Such as any video game or novel character.  Now, if I saw them in retail, I'd buy them.  Bust since I've been going to ebay and paying 12-15 a fig, I'm only buying what I really want.  While I feel good being in control of what I purchase, it's a bad sign for Hasbro when a total die-hard like myself gives up.

Boy...this hobby is really getting to an end for me.  This used to be the coolest time of the year...seeing new product and looking forward to finding it the following year.  But jeez...there's so little that's "new" it's just sad.

I am hoping, really, really hoping, that something cool shows up in the slideshow.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Vintage Ewok/AT-ST Driver 2-Packs
« on: July 11, 2012, 05:14 PM »
These look good, but for god's sake, why didn't they make 1 ewok, 1 driver in each set?  That way, a parent might actually buy the toy.  Two of the same At-ST drivers in one box?  That's just foolish.  Again, I hang my head and wander what the hell Hasbro is thinking.
