I thought about taking Bonds when I picked Ramierez, and just decided that at his age without the steroids propping him up he'd be a big risk.

Although I took other risks - like Mark Prior, who's already having some elbow trouble...

Can you believe that media?  They finally did in poor Barry.  It was their fault he took roids and gave him 2 knee surgeries.  I hope they are happy.  Now they can pick on someone else.  They even made his kid cry.  Media jerks.

Poor babies.  Bonds is an idoit blame his not playing the season on the media.  Like most of you have said  I say its because he knows that thi season he is going to underpeform.

I agree he's likely to underperform.  Combination of age and the roids (likely) plus who knows what else they were injecting him with to make the injuries seem less serious.  Cortisone is fine once or twice, but it'll start to wear on you.  Bonds probably had multiple injections for each game (all legal btw).

I had two opening day pitchers get rocked, giving up big time runs and losing their games.

And my one good starter ended up with a no decision after striking out 12 in 6.0 innings.

Just my luck.
