Anybody else's team tanking this month!?

My team hasn't hit a homerun in 4 days and has all around sucked - big time.  Seems like almost everyone is in a slump.

My Lord I have not even looked at my team for over a month now.  Too much going on with the move.  Plus, my workplace won't allow us onto the yahoo sports page.  Imagine that.  My employer wanting me to actually work.  Tsk.

Yup, triple digits behind Dressel.

and its killing me :-X

Not as bad as I'm gonna kill you though - Dressel over OCB by 300 points on October 1st.

Before too long I'll be in dead last.

My entire team continues it's collapse.  A whopping -2 point effort for today after a decent day yesterday...  No homeruns in a week now.   5 of my guys had their games postponed today and the 4 guys who did play scored an amazing 7 points!  Manny Ramierez, sucking.  Ichirio, sucking.   Alfonso Soriano, terrible.  Brian Roberts, Milton Bradley, and Mark Prior, injured.

I can't wait for fantasy football to start up.

My team is sinking fast.  My pitching is what is hurting me.

My injury parade just keeps coming:

Jun 6 ESPNews reports Colorado Rockies SS Clint Barmes (clavicle) will miss three months with a broken left clavicle after falling down some stairs while carrying groceries.

Add that to Kerry Wood, Magglio Ordonez, Erik Bedard, Jeremy Affeldt, Scott Rolen.  On top of that so many of my other players have missed 3 and 4 games at a clip due to "flu".

Yet he stays in 1st place.

But the gap has shrunk a little bit.

I've got injury problems on my team too - Mark Prior is out until further notice.  Milton Bradley is on the 15 day DL with a torn ligament in his finger.  Alfonso Soriano has missed time this week with a hamstring injury.  Brian Roberts has been out all week with a strained rotator cuff... This is all after going almost the entire season thus far without Jim Thome who's had a bad back.  He's just now back and just now STARTING to get some hits.

I'm pretty sure I get Soriano and Roberts back today which will be helpful.

In the meantime, Luis Gonzalez who I only started because of the injuries, has hit 3 home runs this week.  Just when I complained about my team's complete collapse and lack of homerun hitting and lack of quality pitching, I've gone 4 straight days without a loss or blown save and the bats have been picking up.

Of course, now that I've made an optimistic comment, I'm sure it will all fall apart.

Ain't that the truth.  I enjoyed my week of flirting with third place, now that the stars have realigned, I'm back where I belong ::)

Nice to see my pick of Beltre with #25 in our draft has paid off so handsomely ::)  I'm only holding onto him because I know if I drop him, he'll get hot.  I think I played him for a week, maybe two and then he's been at the bottom of the rotation for a while.

Had Hildebrand from the Jays in there, then dumped him and moved Beltre in for about six minutes one night before picking up an alternate 3B >:(

Also not so happy with Giles at the moment, but that should pass as well.

That's how I feel about Manny Ramierez at the moment.  I picked up at like 11th or 12th overall and he's been so cold as of late it's not even funny.

Ichirio who I picked in the third round has been a major disappointment too - up until now at least.

I'm expecting these guys to get very hot at some point in the season.  If they don't, oh well.

Well, it looks like being optomistic about my team has had the exact effect I expected.  Lackluster performances for about 3 straight days.  Maybe bitching about them a little bit will create another reverse mojo turnaround...  ::)

Not anymore.  :P

Though that slim 4 pt lead could be gone in one day.
