I like the fact that they're generic so you could buy multiple packs if you wanted to fill out a hangar scene or whatever.

Agreed, I'm hopeful that we will finally get a carded Trapper Wolf and Carson Teva with a cost effective kitbash.

Forgot about this...

The Armorer's Forge will make a neat background piece.  I'm just curious what the pack-in figure will be.

Steve - you know its just going to be a slightly repainted (or straight up repack) Armorer figure.

I almost wish they would have made this a bonus 4-pack and included a bunch of different bonus heads, helmets, etc. where they encouraged you to buy three packs and mix and match.

I'm glad they dispensed with the throw away young kid episodes, the "go find it" adventure arcs, and created one long story arc to finish the season.  Very solid.

****Potential spoiler****

My totally unfounded speculation is that the character that leaves at the end becomes the lead character for a revamped "Rangers of the New Republic".

Armorer’s Forge?   That seems a bit random.

A new TC-14 is not something I needed in my life but I'm sure I'll but one all the same if/when it pops up on ShopDisney (or whatever it's called these days).

My feelings exactly.  If they were looking for a 25th anniversary figure it would have been more fun to do some unique pit droids (maybe even the ones from Mandalorian) or something more fun.  TC-14 is not really fun or interesting.

That would make sense but also when had Jayson ever been wrong about this stuff.   Maybe it’ll be like last year where there’s the Ghost but there’s also Jabba’s Palace as a regular, expensive release.

That'd be cool.  $450 HasLab Death Star and $255 pre-order cantina.

8
Everyone seems convinced now it’s the Death Star.  :P

A modular Death Star would be sweet.  I would be interested in both a cantina and Death Star, assuming its done well and not just bottles, pillows, etc. for $450.

This was just going to be the reveal, correct?  Or were they going to start taking orders right away?  Seems odd to delay it if they were just planning a reveal.

This season continues to be solid.

I always thought these were cool but never picked up more than a couple due to the cost.  Maybe I'll need to see if I can pick up a bunch more if the pricing has gotten more affordable.

...hell, I'm still hoping Hasbro pulls their heads out of their asses and realize that at Mandalorian Troop Builder pack is a good idea!

This one is surprising that they haven't either created lots of carded random kit-bashed Mandalorians, or come out with a 4-pack.

Depending on your perspective I guess its good news for the Star Wars line.  Maybe this will mean less 4" line and more TVC.

I'm hopeful that its just a "summer break" and that TVC comes back in the fall/winter when toys have a stronger presence at retail.  While I don't really ever buy at retail anymore its critical for volumes to make the line still work.  Target and Wal-Mart are about the only big footprint retailers left that sell these, and if they drop the line I'm not sure how it'll work as anything other than a fan-channel only sort of line.  I'm good with that so long as Hasbro can still make the economics work.

Yeah that would entirely be a question of what your standards are.  If they’re low, you could certainly do it.

I wouldn't say my standards are low, but I think these things should be toys and not statues.  Ideally you find some balance of both, but things like light up moving chin guns on an AT-AT, and shooting NERF bullets are not screen accurate but pretty cool from a toy perspective.  This version of the N1 definitely seems a bit chunky, but I'll be interested to see how it works from a toy perspective with TVC figures to see if scratches the toy itch.

I certainly don't want the TVC figures slopping around in a giant opening where they can't really sit properly or where a droid/Grogu can't fit right.  Looking at it I'm mostly worried about how the droid/Grogu socket is going to work with TVC figures.  The TVC version handled this fairly well with the different inserts, although I wish you could have fit a whole R5 droid in there and not just a dome.
