Lady Jaye, your obsession with keeping anonimity is probably more than anything what's making people so determined to uncover your image or identity.  I mean, when you and GNT worry so much and get so offended when people post a picture of someone who might be you, it makes them think you all have something to hide.  My advice would be to just throw them a bone - a fake picture, name, or whatever.  As long as we believe that it's you, it might as well be, no?

But, if you think people who have traded with you posting your private info is underhanded, there are even more underhanded ways of figuring out who people are online, ways that are infallible in determining someone's name, address, etc.  I would just let this go and ignore it.  When GNT threatened to sue a few years back, it got him nowhere but to being the butt of everyone's jokes...as if he wasn't already that beforehand.

That's, to me, the A#1 problem with Scum's boards...  They don't give 2 ***** who is there.  They want the traffic, regardless, and only react to people who make it to the administration's radar.  Everyone else, and every other member's disgust with certain people, is ignored.  I could name one specific person who's been there for YEARS, who is a total prick.  I'll say it proudly that the guy has no personality other than a bad one, and adds nothing but misery to other people with every post he makes.  He's condescending, a total dip****, never has anything but negativity to aim at OTHER people (not even the toys, just other people).  He's an ass, always has been, he wouldn't last a week here, and yet he's let slide routinely...  Only because he doesn't bother the admin.

If you're talking about the same guy I'm thinking of, TK 421 1/2, way back in late 2003 I got a warning from Phillip the Wise himself about antagonizing him.  Granted, I did purposefully go through his list of most recent posts and respond to each one letting him know about how big of a jackass he was being, trying to bait him into saying something that would get him banned, and Phillip e-mailed me telling me to knock off the flaming.  Figures.

The trading and Classified section over there?  I've never been much of a trader, or use the classifieds in any forum, but I've heard a lot of stories about people scalping or reneging on deals over there as compared to over here.  Again, that's because there are so many people over there and some (not all) are there to take advantage of less knowledgeable people...again due to the quantity of people over there.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't agree with JoshEEE in principle about the classifieds, because if you want to sell something on any website, that's where you'll get to the largest audience, but you bring up a good point.  Every time I list something for sale, I get a hailstorm of PMs, which I'm pretty good about responding too right away.  In the end, only about half of the people who PM me with interest I never hear from again, and it's only after I bug them that they finally respond and say, "Sorry, I'm not interested."  This is after several days have elapsed and I've missed out on other people who were potentially interested.

A community where people actually have some concept of etiquette would be nice.  Unfortunately RS's forums are not that, and haven't been that way in a long time.

I have UNC and Georgetown in the NCAA tournament, which would be awesome because it'll be the first time (and probably last time) in my life that my two alma maters will square off.  I won't know who to root for.
